Cockroaches belong to the Order Blatteria

When I met my first cockroach outside on the terrace of Paula's house, build on a steep hill above the river in the rainforest, I exclamed :that's a beautiful beetle!
I was taken out of my ignorance by Paula who explained it was a Cockroach! Hilarious! I had never met a Cockroach before in my life!
Though they are not in the least beloved by the people and probably for good reasons, I couldn't help finding them interesting and beautiful!
Comments here please

This one I met very frequent if not daily, they seem to be the most common ones in the area I was in.
At night I often found myself in their company on the terrace where I was picture hunting specially for moths.
They were big with sizes ranging between 2-3 cm!
