|I think there are some drier genes in there... I'm not sure what the cross was made from. A grower in WA told me she grows them in dry shade, at the edge of some trees. She also told me the chromosome counts don't match up with the parents and that's one reason they don't grow very well. She called it "a cross that was never meant to be".
Here's a photo of one just like Pink Mist, called "Deep Throat". I can't think of the name of the nursery I bought it from, shortly thereafter they sold out to Ball seeds and never sold the plant again. Ah! In looking at my photos, I saw I took a photo of the tag- it was Heronwood Nursery.
I got flowers the first year (planted in my yard), but didn't get a lot of leaves. After that, it faded away just like Pink Mist.
