I need help!!!!! I said I was not going to start bringing in more chickies and certainly not have to separate and pen different breeds!! Well.... I lied! These precious babies had to have a new home and I just could not resist. They are a pair of blue Cochin bantams and I am in love

They are beautiful, you fickle hearted woman you...LOL. They are indeed beautiful and I'm afraid I'd have fallen under their spell also, so what can I say but, have fun my dear friend...Hay
My big problem is that these were raised as house Chickens!!! So Im debating on whether or not to buy (or make) diapers for them and keep them inside with me! I have them in a pet cage right now and they are being so good! ....but I let them run on the porch while Im home ( hose down imminent).
Oh Lordy Lordy..... I just hope I do not come in contact with any Top Knots that need a home........ talk about Fickle!!!!!!!

They're BEAUTIFUL!!!
My one Blue is about right inbetween them in color. She moulted recently, and her pin feathers were gorgeous turquoise blue!
My other hen is pencilled, and they love to march around the kitchen floor, eating whatever gourmet stuff I've put down for them. And they love to sit on my knee, when I 'set' with them. Not too hard to tidy up after them if you don't leave them in too long. I use deep shredded paper for bedding, to keep those foot feathers nice.
I would have loved to have been able to get this breed. I considered it, then had to consider the many rainy, muddy days and those feathered feet. I'd be too afraid of the ladies staying too cold and wet when their feet & leg feathers got wet & muddy.

My blue has amazing feathers on her feet, I'll have to take a photo--- I have only two hens(the other is pencilled) and they live in a dry little run, a big roof. Mud is bad!
