Coconut, I don't know who told you you had a splash, but thats absurd. She is a blue. A splash means any bird splashed with a blue, red, or what ever color. Its kinda like standing near a mudpuddle and someone comes by and stomps in it and splashes you with water.

Hi Taynors: so good to talk with you, and how are all of your girls doing? I hope you get all the different breeds you want. Lots of fun aren't they. Haystack

Hay, Smedgekles on DG. But Googling photos got me someplace that was discussing Lilac cochins! haha. No photos anywhere, the Google could find anyway.

Gave the girls a bigger place to hang out, and they stayed in their little cage! They are wakko nuts for broccoli sprouts. Hey! That's supposed to be MY food!

I think mine have an absolute favorite, I mean they are really little pigs, but it is an absolute war when I take french toast out to them. I throw it and run...LOL.

Mel I would love to come and redesign your barn, but, I have a feeling your like me...There would be not end to it...LOL

Good Lord Taynors: What a head of hair, thats enough to make an old bald headed guy like me a little jealous...LOL. I hear some sell some of their hair...hmmm, naw, but, it was a good thought...Hay

well one of the girls is a mean little hen . She is in isolation as is the rooster. Even the rooster doesn't like her LOL Confused
I like the Cochins but with our humid summers. would they be dropping over ? i have some wooded areas i can put a hoop coop in the summer. So the girls have a summer get away.

Mmm, I remember Northern Virginia, near Washington DC, 100 degrees, and 99% humidity, and no breeze. And they hadn't invented home air conditioning when I was a kid. Hot hot hot!

Hey Coconut, I was stationed just outside of Richmond, way back in the fifties and I still remember the summer heat, and humidity. I also lived in Columbus Ohio for eighteen months and remember he humidity there also. I guess thats why I stay put in the Northwest, little to no humidity here. But on the other hand I get tired of the drizziling rain. I guess you can't have it all...LOL. Haystack. Well I have my first of five new coops done so I'll take a week off and then start on the second one. Have a great day everyone. Hay. Hurray!

I'll bet Richmond Texas can out - humid Richmond Virginia. It's hotter here too, but that's okay; I much prefer hot to cold and this winter has been much too cold.
