As anyone that knows me even a little bit soon realizes, I want to get myself and family outside as much as possible. One of my 3 cubits is on exactly this topic – getting kids outside, and what to do once you get them there. So, here are a few ideas that I have done over the years.

Oddly enough, my recent passion for gardening has been completely ignored and even avoided my my daughter, with the exception of seed collecting. She loves to pop, pour and search for the seeds in the various pods and sift and save them with me. A favorite last year was the Badho Negro or Bush Morning Glory seeds. They look like little pieces of teddy bear fur! This year so far the regular morning glories and the Lynchnis Coronaria have been favorites.

Family Fun - Wireless & Unplugged

I created this cubit to share ways of motivating families, especially children, to get outside, and activities to do once everyone is outside. Being outdoors is a wonderfully fun and healthy activity. Let's share indoor unplugged activities, as well.
