I got this in an email today, from a friend called Cindy, from DG:

Have a Wonderful Day. May God Bless You Always and don't forget that when you "cast your bread upon the waters," you never know how it will be returned to you..

God is so big He can cover the whole world with his Love and so small He can curl up inside your heart..

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go.
Only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly!

The power of one sentence!

God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor..

God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close..

If you need God to open some doors for you...be open to Him.

Have a blessed day and remember to be a blessing...

LIVE WELL, LOVE MUCH, LAUGH OFTEN

Our pastor told a very funny story today about Ronald Reagan (when he was president). Seems Ronald used to tell a about 2 twin boys - one was overly optomistic, and the other was totally pesimistic.
Parents took them to a psychiatrist. He tried to make the pesimist more cheerful, and took him to roomful of brand new toys - whereupon the boy started crying uncontrollably. When the Dr. asked why he wasn't playing with the toys, said "I'll break them if I do.....".
Then the Dr. took the optomistic boy to another room, full of manure, and the boy shrieked in delight, clambered up the pile of manure and started digging joyfully. The Dr was shocked and asked what the boy was doing. The boy gleefully said "with all this manure, there has to be a pony in there Somewhere!!

I think we're all trying to find ponies at some time or another Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

not from the bible, but it's something I've learned over the years:

Accept graciously when someone: offers to drive you home, wants to buy you lunch, gives you a complement.

Recently I re-learned about angels in our lives - ordinary people that you see sometimes, or day-to-day.
I live in a mobile home I own, but the City owns the property it's on.
The City, in it's infinite wisdom, has sold the property to a developer, and will be moving all those living here to either a place of their choosing, or to the new trailer park on the outskirts of the city. For a number of reasons this Will Not work for my DH & I. We have to sell the trailer, and it's going to be difficult to find a buy at a price we can live with (trailers here are now devalued because of the impending move). A lady at work said she would help us with $5,000 towards the downpayment of our own house (the trailer IS our downpayment, and if it doesn't sell for much......). She said it's awful what the city is doing, and wants to help us. A real ANGEL, don't you agree?

You are so right!
You never know where an angel will come from.

That's terrible about what the town is doing to you, and to the others around you. I can't imagine how I would feel if it were to happen to me.

I'll keep you and your wonderful DH in my daily prayers. I know a lot of people will say that, too. There's so much power in prayer!

He will guide you, just as He always has before. It's difficult, but see? He sent you an angel! Rejoice!!

The trailer park has 183 trailers in it, and the city has sold the property to a developer.
It's not my DH or I that I'm worried about. We both have good jobs, but there are a lot of seniors, and widowed ladies that won't be able to left wondering how to find the $$ to make the move.......
Pray for them, please. I know I will......................

Decluttering, packing, cleaning, painting.
We're doing good, actually. I'm pushing for certain things to be done, by my DH Whistling
We need to take down a hallogen light, and put up a regular light fixture. The current one is functional, but not very decorative! Actually, it looks ....... unfinished, so he Must put up the decorative one!

Now that we have packed boxes in the porch, it's better. We have rooms looking like they're decluttered Rolling on the floor laughing Blinking

Boy - you should see our place now!! So much has gone out, and only thing not done is shampooing of carpet! (new a couple of years ago, so not that bad).
DH replaced the ballasts we had in the den with a lovely light fixture that makes it look "finished". Too bad it's only 2x 60w, which is kinda dim.
Ah well, it will be fine!
The walls are all patched and repainted, where needed, and the parquet and hardwood floors are refinished ^_^
So much stuff has gone out of here, we could almost furnish another place Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

It's amazing all the stuff we can collect when we live in a home. It took one whole year to declutter this house ... and it was the first year we moved into it, six years ago. Now, once a season I just go through and do a re-declutter! LOL!

Questions I ask myself:
Did I use it this year?
Will I use it this year?
Do I love it?
Does it make me smile?

Anything that gets 'no' for an answer gets kicked to the curb.
