Whew warm here today. Bad storm this morning. Took out MIL's rose of sharon shrub in the front yard. Split it right down the middle of the trunk in 2 or 3 places. Also uprooted a small tree near the end of our road leading to the highway.
Then after all that fury it was nice and breezy but hot and humid.

I love storms another is about to let loose now. But I am happy that Rose of Sharon wasn't tall enough or close enough to hit the house. I'm going to get a picture of it before the storm hits and DH cleans it up.
really? here they bloom in early summer, usually in June and then by the end of the summer, closer to fall, the berries are ripe. I don't usually get any of the berries, the birds do.
If hindsight's 2020, 2021 should be very enlightening!!

Hmmmm, mine bloom late spring early summer too and birds get the berries here too. I am alergic to that stuff so I let the birds have all they want. So many of the natural grown plants around here I am alergic to. I think the Stork dropped me in the wrong place. I like colder weather and and tropical plants. I shoulda been born rich instead of so dawg gone gorgeous!
