I know we're not supposed to have to worry about these things. BUT ever since I downloaded an attached photo from someone I trusetd, my computer's been slower or stopped.

I found the new Safari 5 and that helped for a while, but things are just not right. Too slow. other odd things.

I haven't tried to attach a photo to a yahoo email yet, since I uploaded the Safari 5. What happened a week ago was that the photo would finish attaching, then when I clicked, my screen would blink, but nothing would happen. I could move the cursor, but couldn't click anything.

I would turn off the computer by holding down the button on the back of the machine.

Ah, well, I'll post this, and just for fun (??) go see if that happens again.

Could I have picked up the Conflicker worm? That's a frightening thing, I've been reading about it lately.

Melissa,

Have you tried a scan with this http://www.clamxav.com/ ? Haven't messed with apple products in a great number of years, so can't say for sure if its a virus causing your problems. Now if you had said Windows OS Hilarious! Good luck!

Here's a page where people are discussing problems after loading Safari 5 on their Macs. Some of them are having mail attachment problems. http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=169

I quit using Safari a long time ago. I had nothing but problems with it. I use Firefox now.

I hope you can find help.

I was OK until I opened the attached photo someone sent me, before I had Safari 5.

Ah, well.

Dear Sheri, I have used Macs since 1979 as they were the first ever home computer and my 1979 one still works. How many Windows users can say that?
Maybe coconut should try this as it is free http://www.iantivirus.com/
Just download it and it will do its job, anymore problems I can normally sort them.
Regards from a very cold England.
Neil.
