I just got a new iMac at the beginning of the month, and I've had a Canon PowerShot A80 for several years. Until last week, iPhoto would download the pics, now it won't, says it can't read the files, though it shows the pics on the camera.

There was a software update I installed a week ago... the trouble seems to date from then.

Grrrr.... anyway to fix this? Or at least Dx the problem?

Jay, I've been away from Cubits for a while. Just saw your post. Did you fix your problem? I don't use iPhoto, I use the software that came with my Kodak to download pictures from the camera and save them in Photoshop. Maybe your upgrade isn't compatible with your Mac's OS. I'm still using Leopard OS. I'm afraid if I install a newer OS, my software won't be compatible.

Hope you fixed your compatibility problem.
