Hi Al. I live in Las Vegas, NV. I have two grapefruit trees in containers. I fertilize them weakly, weekly. I am watering every couple of days because of our temperatures. Today it will be 90. They are in the gritty mix so the water moves fast. I read a lot about citrus but I still worry about over watering and I get so many different opionions on how much to water. During the growing season, do you suggest keeping them evenly moist or letting them dry out between waterings? I have been letting them dry out but I am getting some brown edges on some of the leaves so is that a sign of not enough water? I am using Dyna Gro Foliage Pro. Since my environment is dry and I water often, should I give them the Foliage Pro only once a week or more often? I would love to hear your thoughts about how to take good care of my trees in my environment. They seem to really love the heat and the sun. THANK YOU!!
Laura

Al's (tapla's) Container Garden

A good place to explore, if you're looking for answers to questions about soils, fertilizers, or container culture that require slightly more technical answers.
