Shoe - I'm pretty used to it. I've been really active on the community gardening (lectures, demos, workshops) for a number of years in addition to really enjoying forum settings, so by now it's second nature.

Kathy - It's always been difficult for me to say things that could be taken as boastful, so I almost always refrain from saying things that could be taken that way; but as the years pass and so many hundreds of people mention how pivotal some of the information I've provided has been, I've come to feel more comfortable when I say that if you're willing to familiarize yourself with the principles that will guide you when it comes to soils (watering relationships are included Hurray! ) and nutrition, you'll be head and shoulders above those who never really gain a full understanding of the most important aspects of their container gardening adventures.

It's not that difficult, and you'll LOVE the rewards)

Al's (tapla's) Container Garden

A good place to explore, if you're looking for answers to questions about soils, fertilizers, or container culture that require slightly more technical answers.
