Only one day or night is windy like that for a few hours every five years or so, yes, that's a hurricane. It NEVER gets very hot here, there's almost always a (gentle) sea breeze, and high80's. Cool if you sit in the shade for a bit.

Oh, I've been seeing folks having hail lately, on the news, no such thing here.

All the houses and buildings withstand the wind storms OK, and the Island recovers quickly. The 'most of the time' is worth the bits of bad. When I was growing up, near Washington DC, before the days of air conditioning, I noticed that everybody complained about the heat all summer. And then they' complain about the cold all winter. I decided, when I was half frozen, having been sent outside"to play" and I had just suffered a sledding wreck, ouch, that I'd choose the summer when I could go jump in the creek. It wasn't polluted back then.

I absolutely could not keep my sanity in Arizona. Doesn't it get over 110 sometimes? wow.

Al's (tapla's) Container Garden

A good place to explore, if you're looking for answers to questions about soils, fertilizers, or container culture that require slightly more technical answers.
