Love the instructions for your beautiful butterflies! So pretty. Can you use all quickcrete, or does it have to be concrete?

Oh, I can spend way too much time in hobby lobby...I end up going back and forth between the isles to decide what I will actually get...always have my coupon, too!

What a Great Tutorial.
I think I recall seeing that butterfly mold at Michaels sometime back and paid no attention at the time. One of those things I seen and just kept walking buy. I do have a butterfly cake pan but don't think I will use it.....not a good thing.
Oh, I really, really gotta make me some butterflies. You have really inspired me. Thank you All I need now is the time

charleen this is kind of off topic to your molds but i have a question. i have some old broken sidewalk pieces. they are all different sizes. i just bought 1500 marbles. i want to place them all over the concrete pieces. what do i use to get them to stick to the concrete? where can you go to look at mosaic patterns?

You can glue them on with a good indoor/outdoor glue and after they dry. Makeup a mosiac like concretmix and cover them. go back with a damp sponge and wipe it down mist it lightly and let it set. I'd mist it a couple of times while it is setting up for the concrete to cure. If there is too much concrete over the marbles after you wipe them down, take a brush and go over them Lightly...Hope this helps. You can google and find Mosiac patterns ,

going to post these here, Walkable Butterflies. I don't like to walk on them but do have several where you can. The bad thing about walking on them is knocking out the gems. Mosiac is good, Flat, Not such a problem. Thumb of 2010-09-20/Ridesredmule/2a16e3 It last a good long time. That is what this one is and I forgot to put a date in concrete but know it's at least 10 years old.
