I made a lot of that one first year I got it. Still got the mold.
Thinking about him is worse than thinking of first husband.
He was a butt, but this man was worse. So, I don't think about either one!!!

Can't so that. The mold is nice and it really looks good done in Concrete, adding a terracotta stain looks pretty good.

thank you dear. Did you read the instructions? It is not hard to do.
He is nice hanging up like that, I made one and put a flowerpot on back, Have you ever done that with a mold? Sunk a pot in it. Makes a nice planter-when done right. I screwed up and used a plastic pot, does better with terracotta.

did I show you? I'll tell you how I do it.
1.Take a piece of wire about 7-8'' long. Use 18g. it should be strong enough, galv. wire.
cut it.
2.fold it in half
3. Over a pencil is great!
4.go about inch or so from fold and curl it around pencil or tubing.
5. both sides.
6.You should already have your mold filled. I pust the wire in pass the curls while cement is fresh.

Guess if you don't put enough curly-cues in the wire at both ends, .... the wire will come out, and your butterfly may fall and smash into smithereens, right?! Blinking Confused Rolling on the floor laughing
Good job, Charleen! Thumbs up

Yes, I would trut a straight wire after all the workI put in them. Use a good strong wire that won't breat easy. The kinks helps, I think.
thank you, connie. I guess I should have showed that earlier but it took Cheryl to prod me into doing it right. Thanks.

New butterfly girl has aged. But I like it.Thumb of 2010-09-30/Ridesredmule/083669
I used a thin plastic bag like you get at grocery store.
I sprayed the mold put in the bag and straighten it at the eyes , pour the cement into it.( shake it to get air bubbles out) Let it set overnight I always drape a wet t-shirt over them to help with the cure. They need the moisture. Thumb of 2010-09-30/Ridesredmule/d6db3d
I used a good siliconed glue to glue the girl to the butterfly. Thumb of 2010-09-30/Ridesredmule/a314cc The old gal doesn't look too bad but noticed an air hole there on her face.
Thumb of 2010-09-30/Ridesredmule/6eb720 cover it with a gem. I'm not thru yet but will work on it first thing tomarrow and let it set then put on last coat of cement.
