My sister, mother and I get together every year and make our Christmas cards together. Each of us comes up with a few designs and then we get "kits" ready for each design and write up simple instructions. We then all make 3 cards of all designs. It's a great way to have a good variety of cards. Here are some we did and I would love to see Chrismas cards others have done also!

This first one is a card my sister designed:

This was one of my designs (I used my Cricut to do the Merry Christmas)

The background paper was a printed paper so this was a very simple card to put together.

They're all great but the first one by your sister I think is awesome. I love how the cuts are made so it can be displayed so nicely and easily. It looks like some pretty heavy stock was used for it giving it.....I dunno...'presence'?

Don't be discouraged because there isn't a lot of posting yet! They will come Thumbs up

The following will take a little time I'm sure. I think the new organized listings will help.

Here is another I made with a stamp I had purchased at a Rubber Stamping Expo:

That's a nice stamp! I begin to realize how little crafting I've done.

Yes, the organized are listings are good.....it's nice that we're already near the top, too Big Grin

WOW! your cards are lovely sjweld.
Love the santa suit / package card.
Nice to have some company in the card making catagory.
I haven't quite caught onto your sister's card design yet. Hopefully someday I will give it a try.

I know with her design there are some very specific measurements. Maybe she can supply a link to the instructions. I believe she got them off of http://www.Splitcoaststampers.com but Ian mot sure.

I ahppened to come across a link to the tri-fold shutter card that you sister had done.

I have done some and I was making it harder then it actually was.
Sometimes it's good just to step away for awhile and come back and then things just seem to fall into place.
Great looking cards by the way.

Found you, Sheri! I remember you started a thread like this at DG. The path from there to here (cubits) seems well travelled.

Here is one of my cards from last Christmas. (I don't remember which ones I posted at DG to bump the thread earlier this year.)

It's actually a CASE of a someone else's card I saw on the internet. I would love to be able to see a card "sketch" and develop a card out of it. So far I have mostly tweaked others' cards.

And another. This design was one that my Stampin' Up representative had us make at a class the year before. My change was mainly to heat emboss all the stamped images. I emboss most everything because I want to avoid smearing if it gets wet.

The instructions for making this two-sided snowflake wreath were on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-f4lyF0740&playnext=1&list=P...

Basically you cut out a doughnut of cardstock and stick on punched snowflakes. In the video the wreath was hole punched and a ribbon hanger inserted in the hole. Instead of doing that I cut out TWO doughnuts and glued the ends of silver cord in between them, making a loop hanger. I decided to make it only one-sided and put it on a card, hiding the loop hanger in back of the wreath so the wreath could be removed from the card and hung on the tree. I also used glitter markers instead of the Stickles used in the video, as well as circles of silver paint pen instead of rhinestones.

Again, taking someone else's idea and tweak, tweak, tweak.

Glad you found me Denise! I love those cards! I'll have to watch the video on that one!

Do you poke around the gallery @ http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ I get a lot of good ideas from there.

All great Christmas cards. Wonderful inspiration here.
NisiNJ, like how you had done the snowflake card. very pretty.
Got me to thinking that I should be starting in getting my Christmas cards made. That time will be here before we know it.
