Welcome to the final chapter in the Very Barry Summer Sizzler Quilt Project. Come meet Barry and his wife Theresa. Barry served our country in Desert Storm. He went to Iraq right out of high school. They both thanked us profusely over and over. Loved the candy, the flowers, the cards, the goodies and all the attention. He has been receiving lots of support from his church community who have sent him DVD's and bible study CD's. When Theresa told him we were making him a quilt he said he wondered if we would finish it in time. We did thanks to all your focus and support. Group hug Lovey dubby

Oh I agree arejay everyone's blocks are wonderful and Seray you did a magnificent stitching job. Every little stitch a warm and loving touch for our Blocks.

I hope he finds it just the ticket in warming him at chemo and at home when he is in his lounger.

Sherri - I'm overwhelmed with all the work that went into this quilt, your stitching, and Barry & Theresa's faces when they saw it. I told Bob about this, and the fact that Barry wasn't sure it would be finished in time........ my Bob was touched about this, most of all. I'm really pleased this was done so quickly, because it will mean a lot that he has warmth when he goes for chemo. He gets cold so easily too........... Lovey dubby Group hug
I love the picture where Theresa is wrapping him in its warmth.......... Group hug

Thanks Ladies! They were a nice couple. He knows his time is limited and the chemo is damaging the nerves in his hands. It's nice to get him the quilt while he can still feel it. He was happy he had his "own quilt" and was planning on showing all the ladies who brought theirs to chemo. Smiling He kept looking at the stitching and just feeling the softness. Can't help but love a quilt ya know. Hopefully he'll have a few more years! I appreciate all the extra blocks you sent, without them the quilt wouldn't have covered him up head to toe. Lovey dubby

My Sister, for a few minutes stop what you are doing and picture all of us together today. We walk into a beautiful home, a reminder of a Southern Plantation, the aroma of sweet flowers and mucky roses. A waiter hands each of us a Tall Glass of mojitos and we continue to walk looking at everything. In one room there are breathtaking quilts displayed as wall hangings, over the couch and one on an antique quilt rack...We meet another Sister and begin hugging and chatting. In the distance we hear a piano playing soft jazz and just for Jaye she plays "Waltz for Debbie" http://youtu.be/dH3GSrCmzC8

Our wondering takes out on the veranda and we see a well taken care of garden...pathways leading to what we might call meditation areas, tall trees, even a huge weeping willow down by a pond that is home to ducks and two large swans. They are floating serenely.

Back in the house we are called to accompany a gentleman into the large dining room. Here there are tables set around the room
Thumb of 2012-05-13/LaVonne/bd030f and at each place is a lovely surprise..roses of chocolate Thumb of 2012-05-13/LaVonne/ba78f4 .

There is a table offers desserts and beverages.

We find our tables and sitting our glasses down we see that each table has a beautiful arrangement and easels set against the walls with a sign on each....

Now we check out the tables of food and are taken back with all the delicacies awaiting our pallet.
