Sydney. I had the great privilege of spending eight days in that area in August 1994. You are free to choose. You are not, however, free from the consequences of your choice. ========================= http://debra96.wix.com/green-amber-gardens |

I love giraffes! They have the most beautiful eyes, with incredibly long lashes. |

Hi guys. Oh, yes, he is the master of all he surveys. Until Becky comes to visit. She's in charge and he knows it. She came from a big family with 4-5 brothers, all but one older than her. Sometimes I call him Toby-wan-Kenobi. He's our only hope! |

A friend has a teeny tiny kitty named Tony (not Toby), so we called him Teeny Tiny Tony. Then he grew up, and kept growing. We had to re-name him Ten Ton Tony. BTW, Toby got his name from the way (as a kitten), his ears were as big as the rest of his head, almost. "Toby Jugs" are beer steins where the handle kind of comes out of the ear. The me his head looked like a double-handed Toby Jug. As the rest of him grew up, his ears stayed the same size. ![]() |

He is a cutie. Ans SO dignified. Especially when he falls off a chair and has to stomp away with a stiff tail muttering: "I MEANT to do that!" If he's outdoors when I get home, I always praise him for being such a big OUTdoor cat. (It's usually drizzling or rainy and cool or cold.) And I give him dinn er right away while flattering him . If he's dozing indoors, I tease him for being lazy and a wimpy INdoor cat. And I don't feed him until I've taken my shoes off. Lately, almost every night he will come running around from the back of the house to greet me. But he's very seldom IN the front of the house. I suspect that he figured out the "feed-me-right-away" deal, sees me coming, and runs out his cat door and around the house to show what a big tough OUTdoor cat he is! But how can I find that out? A recording webcam? ![]() ![]() |

>> whatever will he do if he knows we are all admiring him!!! At home, he turns away and pretends not to notice ... while his ears flick showing he's lapping it up eagerly. It is, after all, only his due. With strangers, he's timid for about 20 seconds, i guess until he feels safe. Then he's a total attention junkie. He shows off and plays cute as long as someone is ohhhh-ing and awwww-ing. Now that he doesn't run away from the neighbor cats, he has a reputation and his dignity to uphold. He doesn't like to be seen with "his humans". Somehow that's embarrassing, like a kid being hugged when dropped off at school. My sister, who taught in Jr. High, calls it "too cool for school". If I'm working outside, and he comes out, he elaborate ignores me. If I talk directly to him, hes embarrassed and stalks away indignantly. When I sit on the back porch, Toby likes to climb up and be held. But what a dilemma! He can't let neighbor cats see him slumming with a human. He prowls around looking for any cat who might be watching, then jumps up. But his head keeps swiveling so he won't get caught. Each noise makes him turn and look. Before he got chummy with other cats, he would just climb up, purr and snooze. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ooo, I could just squish 'em and kiss 'em all up! |

Obviously I'm in love with the little rodent. When summer ends, and it gets cold and rainy, he stares at me accusingly and complains repeatedly. I'm obviously responsible for weather - what am I, stupid? It's so hard for cats to get good help! I also get blamed for it when Becky leaves. Of course, when she comes back, he gives her the slit-eyed cold shoulder punishment for as long as he can stay mad at her for being gone. He can keep that up for about 4 minutes before he breaks down and does the purring head-bumping welcome back. When he has both of us to pamper him, he gets really complacent and smug. But it does take two people to satisfy him! |

When he does that, it's like he's saying that I "should call his appointments secretary if I desire an audience". Fortunately, he is REALLY sweet and affectionate. When he's in the mood. I'm sure he's spoiled rotten, but that's HIS fault, not mine. He's so cute, anyone would spoil him. |
