Image A noble creature - Varanus panoptes

Varanus panoptes is a relatively large Goanna, or Monitor, that occupies much of tropical and near-tropical Australia. I had the priviledge of sharing my place with them, until the Cane Toads arrived that is. I'd like to share some of my photographic memories of them.

Love the article. Maybe they will get a tolerance to the toads and can reproduce stronger families...

Thanks Charleen. It was great being able to walk out of the house and see one of these wandering around. I can only hope now.

Reptiles and Frogs of Australia

Whilst first starting as a Crocodile Cubit, questions/comments about other reptiles made me decide to broaden it to other reptiles as well, and frogs. There's very many groups and species but I'll cover what I come in contact with and photograph.
