Well, what on earth is all this about, a mythical trickster dinosaur, or what? Read on and make your own mind up.

Wouldn't that be fun Dorothy. Imagine the reaction when you had company. Your very own guard lizard. Big Grin

Maybe it would be a better guard "dog" than the two I have...they make friends with everyone who comes to my fence and decides to come inside.

I have enjoyed watching them run on two legs on the nature shows, but the close-up pics you have here are great! I didn't know they had such a colorful throat. What a fun critter, thanks!

Thanks for all the comments and glad you all enjoyed the tour. I like conducting these 'personal tours', it helps me to look more deeply into the nature around me and develop a greater understanding.

Don't know how well these would go as 'guard dogs', they're more likely to tell you to fix the problem and they'll be back when it's sorted Rolling on the floor laughing .

The running on two legs is really a sight to be seen. Who knows, in another million years of evolution they might be walking around amongst us. Bit of a problem, though, trying to avoid stepping on their tails ....... oops, sorry *Blush*

Zig, I agree with Zany. Thanks for being our personal tour guide of your part of Australia. I have learned so much about your fascinating country and the flora and fauna there. Thumbs up

Reptiles and Frogs of Australia

Whilst first starting as a Crocodile Cubit, questions/comments about other reptiles made me decide to broaden it to other reptiles as well, and frogs. There's very many groups and species but I'll cover what I come in contact with and photograph.
