There isn't a lot you can do.
Cmail the cubit owner encouraging him/her. (I do this in my "spare" time). Sometimes they ask to have their cubit removed, sometimes they just explain that they are busy...and sometimes they never respond at all.

I agree, and it is a shame.
I understand that things come up that sort of take over your life. I think that a lot of cubits were set up without realizing that they take a "bit" of work.
I usually encourage people to either jump in, or let go.

Is there anything in the T.O.S. that states that a site which is inactive for longer than...a specified time...may be removed ?
I know
Quoting:9. Termination. the Cubits Administration may terminate your access to all or any part of the Website at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately. If you wish to terminate this Agreement or your Cubits.org account (if you have one), you may simply discontinue using the Website. All provisions of this Agreement which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
could technically cover it but perhaps a seperate notice when a cubit is being started a statement with an I agree/do not agree would cause people to pause before starting and abandoning a cubit and make it easier for you to keep a clean house. Anyone who knows they are going to be unable to continue for a period of time could take their cubit non public and notify you they plan to return to it later if they needed an extension on the time limit...

I think it's a good idea. That's what I did with my houseplant Cubit. Articles and just 2 forums in case someone has a question. Getting decent traffic.

Please don't delete Ceramics by Vavak as her mother is dying of cancer and she may not find time to work on it until winter. I believe they have only given mom 6 months or less to live. She discontinued treatment several months ago as it wasn't helping.
Diane is devoting all her time to spend with her mother.

Thank you, Trish. That is very accomodating of you. We sure couldn't ask for anything more. Are those idle cubits taking up a whole lot of space? Maybe not now but could in the future as we grow. Must be frustrating to not get answers from people. I feel for ya.

Perhaps the ghost town Cubits could go into temporary "ghost townships" where noone can see them and then maybe get deleted after 3 months of non participation. The members who notify Dave or Trish of circumstances can be given more time. I know I will completely lose my online mailbox after so many days or months of inactivity so perhaps this kind of idea might help if it gets to be a problem as Cubits grows? I`m just adding to the ideas expressed here. Thanks for listening! Karen

That's my idea, Karen.
I keep a close eye on the area, and sent lots of emails out. For those I haven't heard back from, I figure to give them a definite time frame, and close it down after that.
I just haven't gotten that far yet!

Good luck on those too! It is only a matter of time.Cubits is going to be catching. The Cubit bug has bitten me. I go though times when I wonder what I`ll do next and feel as if I lack inspiration for periods of time but then I just relax and take it like life one day at a time. Karen
