We actually used to own a mac but that was 10 years ago and with OSX it's a different animal now.

Windows is even worse. Don't know hardly anything about it.

Ah, well, guess I'll have to go to my Mac store.

How could all these "people" get linked to my photos? I wonder if if could be that dratted facebook? I'd stop going there, but I get so much local news, and some people I never get to see talk there a lot more than individual emails. facebook is the only thing I can think of.

Well, I did my best to read the info in the help/support link, Thanks, Rie. It only said stuff about me choosing to share.

Erghhhh. Computers! And I cannot talk to anyone there because I am too "hearing impaired" to use a phone anymore. I don't even have a phone! hahaha.

Well, if anyone wants an eyestrain headache, they can look at my photos!

The SHARE on my computer is there (with Windows) when I have computers Networked. SHARE is the folder that is SHARED with the other computers. It gives you the ability to share some but not ALL files with others.

I don't have a clue about Mac's, so I hope this helps in some way.

Well, I don't know anything at all, and I didn't tell my computer to share anything-- that I rightly know of, but who am I to say I know anything?

With Windows, you would KNOW that you were sharing because you have to tell it and some other stuff too.

I hope you get an answer soon. As for Facebook, most (well, lots anyway) of the www windows you open have a place that says SHARE. You can select that to share whatever you are watching or reading to Facebook, Twitter, etc. There's a whole slew of sharing sites nowadays. I haven't been on Facebook long enough to tell you if that's what you are seeing or not.

Thanks, Janet.

Not windows.

I'll go give the problem to those sharp guys at the Apple store Monday. Apple/Safari (I bleive, I could easily be wrong) have a gigantic firewall protecting me. But I could be wrong.

I think you will find your answer here. It has to do with preference settings. If you uncheck the prefs referenced in these links, you should "unshare" your photos.
