this is what I put on my public profile section and on the sig it shows everything above without the last after goats . The only link that works is the goat one! What's missing or wrong with this? MollyD |
you have some > 's instead of [ and ] |
Thanks Star! Hadn't spotted those. MollyD |

Molly.. You still have a space afte r the wor d hybridiers and the closing [/url at the end of the text to turn it blue Ya almost there : ) |

Went to public profile and change to this: Amateur Daylily Hybridizers Goats! and got this in my sig: Amateur Daylily Hybridizers Goats! what am I still doing wrong? Neither link works now. MollyD |
fixed the space and still got this: Amateur Daylily Hybridizers Goats! MollyD |

Take out the " 's |
why would the s stop the link from working? It's in the text and not the link. I'll try it but then it won't make any sense. MollyD |
well I took out the s in goats and Hybridizers and that didn't workl. I can't remove it from the address cause that s is in the address. More ideas? MollyD |
Looks like you got it? |
Yes arejay59 spotted the quotation marks I didn't need in it. Was mixing html and this code up! Thanks! MollyD |

Is there a way to make a link that goes to a post in a thread ... the first unread post? Tentatively, when I do the following, it goes to something like "post # 80" in the thread, not to "whatever is CURRENTLY my first unread post, as of each time I click on the click". - - - - - http://cubits.org/ellasgarden/thread/view/71790/?offset=80#n... (I am trying to make a link that always takes me to my first unread post, and takes anyone else to THEIR first unread post.) This next link always goes to the FIRST post in the thread, so I can just click on "first unread" ... but I would like to make a "first unread post" that will work for mme or for anyonee, whenever they click it. http://cubits.org/ellasgarden/thread/view/71790/ |

click on the "first unread" on the thread and then use that link. That way, the first unread is right in the link and it *should* take anybody to their first unread post in the thread. |

Lee Anne's answer is exactly what I was going to say. ![]() |

Thanks, I THOUGHT that's what I did, but clearly not. I'll try again. Thanks, both! |

Funny, today it works starnegly, snding me back into the midle of a list that I was actually near the end of. Let me try again tomorrow ... I DO use IE7 at work, anhd who knows what THAT will do at any time! I can test from home if I just swap a few cables around, b ut I bent a pin on a video connector trying to do in the dark last time. If you can clic k on m y Piggy Chat or Oink thread links separated b y a few minutes or hours, someone will post in-between and probably show you that only my browser is having a hard time. If m y browser uses those links oddly again tom orrow, I will just make them go to the first post, and then click on "frist unread". It won't break my fn ger to click twice! |
