WOW you are probably thinking! Can my garage get any worse? Where does the car go? All it needs is a lot of organization, a lot of time and a lot of coffee! You can do it! Share your stories and we'll share ours.

This is where I need to be right now. Can't get the car in the garage, and it's a mess. Afraid to even take a before picture. Might have to make myself do it. *Blush*

I enjoy getting things organized. I did my pantry a month or so ago... having a smaller space to live in now actually makes me feel like I CAN get things organized, it's not so overwhelming! I'll be doing my closet and clothing drawers soon. I also did my bathroom drawers the other day... so liberating to be able to easily find things and not have a jumble of clutter!

I agree Brenda! Inside my house is organized and is easy to control as it is also small since I downsized. Howwever, the garage is full of my children's memories, Christmas decorations and at least 2 dozen boxes of crafts. Scary.

Well, you've got to have your boxes of craft stuff and of course, your children's memories!!! And I bet yours isn't the scariest garage ever... have you seen that show 'Hoarders'? Or 'Clean House'? I love seeing the transformations, but I know some of those folks have a true struggle with letting go of things. I try to keep the most important/useful/sentimental things, and get rid of the rest (which is mostly clutter). I like the message of respecting the things that are truly special to you, and not crowding them out and disrespecting them with things that are useless. Thumbs up

I did see that show Hoarders! Now that was scary!

When I moved into my bungalow last summer it was too hot to really get in the mood and then it was too cold...now it's just right and I am spending time sorting. Then I am giving my kids all their stuff and keeping just one box of sentimental memories for myself!

Okay, don't want to hear any gasps. *Blush* This mess has been a long time in the making (10 years) with other people storing things here. Now it is all moved out and just our junk. Sending to H2O here in Dallas, the rest is getting re-organized. We have already found things we thought were long gone. Big Grin Sure is a daunting task though. Blinking

Well, think of the discoveries you might make! I find when I clean out things I find something I either forgot I had or I couldn't get to.

Well, we have made a good start on it. Ours will never look beautiful because it doesn't have finished walls. But it will be organized and usable. Thumbs up Big Grin

I have found buying the rubbermaid tubs ( and cheaper brands) help me feel more orgaized!

Most of what is in there belongs to DH. But I now have a place set up to do plant things in bad weather. Boy does that make me happy.
