My Hot Papaya(s) are beautiful this spring. Here are a couple of photos. I love the way it goes from bright orange to deep orange/red as it ages. It fascinates me how the petals go from almost horizontal to literally straight down. This is one of my all time favorite echies.

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

I really am impressed with Hot Papaya more than any other. It grows well and it blooms spectacularly. That, Hot Summer and Sandy Yellow are my three early bloomers this year but Hot Lava really is impressive. It's a really showy plant.

A true marvel in the flower world. One of mine had over 50 blooms at one time!

Hi, Carter and welcome to the forum. Hot Papaya has to be one of the best and most reliable coneflowers, especially in doubles.

Thanks, Steven. I've only currently got a few "no names" echinaceas - a couple from a variety pack of divisions from Sam's & a "Home Depot special" (I call it that because it had no name). The Home Depot one has both yellow
and orangey/reddish/melody colored flowers - I'm assuming it's multiple seedlings in one pot.

I've yet to get any of the doubles, but Hot Papaya is definitely be on my short list!

Welcome Carter.
If you picked up the mix pot this year you might have picked up Cheyenne Spirit which have been very good plants so far.
