I thought i lost this one over the winter... but it's poking it's head out from a bunch of standards. I need to give it more breathing room.

The bloom is not completely open yet.

Nevermore44, if you think about it, please post another picture of the Pink Poodle when it's fully bloomed out.
I've been wanting one but heard all of the stories about how they didn't bloom out they way they are supposed to. I like the Pink Poodle you posted. It has several layers of petals.

Anyone else have a Pink Poodle coneflower?

This is the plant from last year. I have had it blooming since 2011. I actually bought it labeled as a 'doubledecker'... but it was obviously mislabeled at the nursery that was selling pink poodles also. Mine has always bloomed completely as it should. A majority of the ones i see at the nurseries are somewhere between a 'doubledecker' and a 'pink poodle". I want to try and get one this year to see if they will bloom more consistent.

I really like it.. and wonder why they haven't come up with other colors on this one type yet?

I have a good one too, but mine is too crowded as well. I think I try to grow too much in a small area.

Sounds familiar. Big Grin
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore looking like an idiot.
