My nursery has them but the yellow on theirs is much more golden than yellow. Yours is bright yellow and I like that. I can buy one for 30% off but this time of year the plants aren't at their best so I'm reluctant to pull the trigger.

The golden color sounds more like Now Cheesier then the yellow Leilani should be.

All of these are golden yellow and are the 2nd shipment of Leilani this year. They came from the same wholesaler and were all potted/packaged the same with big fancy Leilani tags with photos on them so I don't question the nursery or the grower. Due to that I've decided that since I already have several CS gold/yellow and Sombrero Lemon Yellow I'm going to pass on Leilani unless I can buy it for half off. I really don't want another gold Echinacea. Oh, too I have Meteor Yellow and Dixie Sun which are yellow.

Here is a picture of CS which I bought from Santa Rosa Gardens in June. This shade of yellow is very close to the Leilani that my nursery has in stock right now. Leilani is a bigger flower but the color is very close to CS. This is not a clear yellow that I'm wanting. I do like it though.

My nearby nursery has all perennials for $6 Wednesday and I'm hoping that they still have Leilani because if they do I'm going to buy 2. Big Grin

I picked up one myself last week, I hope you can get them and they do well. Now they are saying this winter will be colder then last year, so hoping late plantings will have time to establish.

I hope you are able to get your coneflowers. $6.00 another bargain price. The two Leilanis I have are in the hot sun and the flowers hold their yellow color. I bet you have better luck with the coneflowers you purchase from this nursery than the coneflowers from the other source you recently purchased some from.

I hope that they have at least one. I've tried to bargain for one ever since they arrived because $20 is twice what I'm willing to pay. I was told that their cost is over $10 and the best deal was 30%. Whistling

Success! I got 2 for $6 each. They're a bit ratty but for the price I won't complain.

They look like they have a nice amount of stems. The one on the left looks like it has at least 8 stems. The garden center here will be 60% off starting tomorrow, I will have to stop by and see if they have anything left. They are 14.99 here so price will end up just about the same as by you. I hope they do well for you.

Thanks, I watched this plant and waited for a month. Finally the price was right so I bought 2. I was greedy but I don't care. Whistling

Vicki, I love a good buy! And I'm always looking for one. Sometimes I find it like today. This nursery has "wacky Wednesdays" and I'm on their newsletter list. I saw today's deal in the newsletter and I was ready.

I went to the sale they had by me , but things were already pretty wiped out. The only one they had that I did not already have or had no want of was Rosita. for 6 dollars I figured it was worth a shot. Also picked up a Heuchera Carnival Coffee Bean.

The picture that I saw of Rosita was pretty. What's your opinion, is it a nice color or just average?

It s a nice color when it opens, but being such a light color I think the color will fade quickly. Only time will tell.

It's not widely available online and unless I found a steal I'll let it go. Thanks for your opinion.
