A few weeks ago I was able to get my hands on four Flamenco Orange coneflowers. I missed them first blooming because I was out of town but was pleasantly surprised when I returned to find them blooming. Nice orange color looking quite a bit like CS oranges.

Nice pictures. A coneflower couldn't be ugly with the name "Flamenco Orange."

It's pretty. I am up to my ears in orange Echinaceas right now so it's not on my radar. Even Tiki Torch is off of my radar. Smiling
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

I was tempted by Tiki Torch again today , still the best colored orange out there. But I have lost too many over the years.

Cheyenne Spirit orange looks as good or better than Flamenco Orange imo. Orange Echinaceas are beginning to like pink ones when you can't tell them apart.

Lowe's or local nursery? They're new this year and not widely available or if they are they're not here.

I was also thinking that they look different, mine was taken the day it opened. Will have to see as it matures.

To me yours looks more like Salsa or Hot Coral. The shape of my Flamenco's is different, it has very flat petals that stick out 90 degrees and stays that way so far.

I did look them up and pictures on internet and tag with plant look much more like mine with double petals that are turned down.

Last weekend, I went to the Lowes that is 40 miles away from where I live. I called Lowes earlier in the week and the clerk said they had just received some new coneflowers. When I got to Lowes, they had received Hot Corals and the Flamenco Oranges. I purchased one of each and they also had Orange Milkweed. So, I purchased one of those.

All is going fine so far.

As I was leaving the town, I pulled into a service station to get some gas, for gas was about 15 cents a gallon cheaper than in the town I live. After finishing getting gas, as I put the nozzle back on the pump, I noticed a car barreling right towards me. The service station is on a busy highway. The driver came off the highway due to being unconscious as a result of some illegal activities he participated in.

Tomorrow, I should find out if my vehicle is going to be totaled by the insurance company or repaired. I was very fortunate in that I only ended up with nice bruises. It could have been much worse.

(The Flamenco Orange and Hot Coral coneflowers look very similar. Maybe the tag on one of them is wrong, or maybe I need to look at them closer.) For singles, it is getting really hard to beat Cheyenne Spirits.
