Haven't had much time to work in the garden this year but I did pick one of these up at Home Depot last week. It was their last one and I couldn't resist.

They are pretty, but do not think I will be getting any Sombrero unless the price is in line with an annual. That is pretty much all they have been for me.

Just a little update. Typical Home Depot plant, kinda squashed. They must not give them much room to grow side to side? Looks nice close to the Speedwell.

Nice but there are better orange cones. Hot Coral is better and CS might be even better.

It's quite similar to Tiki Torch's orange.

I wish Tiki Torch was a better plant , I have also given it the 3x. It does overwinter but when the Spring rains come it rots away. When seen apart some oranges look as good but a garden center by me carries over 30 kinds including 5 or 6 oranges and when standing back the Tiki Torches always stand out the most. Your eyes are just drawn to it.

I too wish that it was a better plant. So far I've had lots of orange plants and I'll say it again Cheyenne Spirit imo has been the brightest orange of any. I haven't compared it side by side with Tiki Torch but I won't buy Tiki Torch again just to have it die no matter how pretty it is.

Another update. Holding color nicely. Was pretty dark outside so they look a little intense.

We got them at my store today. I picked one up even though this series has done poorly for me. It was 8 dollars so not that bad.

Lowes had them today and I bought one even though I really don't need it and think that there are better orange cones available.
