I was ready to dig this up last year but I moved it to a new location this spring and I like it now. This is the first bloom this year.

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

My flowers have done exceptionally well this year and I couldn't be happier with them. As long as I give them a big drink at least every other day they're happy.

I agree Here's a new updated picture from today. The tinge of yellow/orange is almost gone. Now it looks like Tomato Soup. Hurray!

Your Tomato Soup has more substance than mine. Maybe I should give it more attention like you. I also have it for a few years.

First flower on 6/30

Same flower on 7/3

Mine looked like your 1st picture until this year and I never got more than 1 bloom on it. Your 2nd picture looks good, the red is rich. My plant was in less sun than it wanted so I moved it to a brighter spot and I think it's happy now. Smiling

I said that today. It rewarded me for moving it to a new location. The color is exactly why I wanted it and the reason I bought it. It was advertised as a true red but it wasn't red until now.

Mine is in sun but not the best soil and that is just the first bloom. It does get many blooms but for them to look like yours, I need to consider fertilizing them. I always left them on their own but I think they can use a sprinkle of Rosetone.

In early spring I fed everything with Espoma Organic 3.4.4 but only one time. Remember that mine are growing in potting mix but that doesn't mean much.

Echinaceas don't need a lot of fertilizer, most people use bone meal in the spring.

A 2nd flower for this plant. It's a rich red and really pops. The 1st bloom is still red after a week but a little bit faded. I'm sure glad I kept it. Cheyenne Spirit is behind it. Due to the time of the picture it's a bit over saturated.

Very nice. They need sun more than most of them I think to do well. Mine are almost the last to bloom even getting the most sun.

Sad Rats! Which ones were they? We had a hard rain too. I made sure I poured out any extra water. So far, things are ok.
