I bought this from Santa Rosa Gardens this year and here is the first bloom. The color is fantastic; kind of a orange-red but more red than orange. Single petals that lie flat and deep, rich color. A keeper for sure.

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

Did yours hold shape and color for a long time? I'm impressed with this series and can't wait for Dixie Belle to open up. It overwintered but the buds aren't yet open.

No buds on anything here yet, as I recall it held color well but not as long as Scarlet but better then other oranges.

Terra Nova has another winner in this series. It seems that they have turned out better new varieties recently.

It turns more orange as it ages but that's not a bad thing. It is still pretty. :

The same bloom after 6 days with a new one behind it. You can see the color changes to orange from red. It's still pretty and more accurate than when first open. Thumb of 2016-06-02/Snapshot/61733c

Love the color of this one. It has done the best of the Dixie series for me.

I really like it but mine failed to overwinter.

Dixie Sun and Belle overwintered but both rotted away after all the rain we have been having.

We've had a lot of rain too, and a couple of my coneflowers seem to be rotting, too.
