Vicki and Bob, $10 is a decent price in NJ these days. I am seeing $20 perennials now at some places. That means the 50% off late season sales is no great deal anymore. We can still get perennials from Lowes and Walmart for your price but they usually aren't as well grown as the privately owned nurseries. I have bad luck with Walmart plants overwintering for some reason. I gave up on them.

Today, I passed by that nurseries and couldn't help but stop by and look at the coneflowers. So... I picked up a couple of Cheyenne Spirit for $14.99 each!!!! But it looks like there are multiple plants in these pots or great basal growth. Some pots had two different colors in them. I don't know if that is good or bad and maybe I'll go back.

What do you think? Was I ripped off? There is a Yellow with a green eye I want to go back and get. And a nice Flame Thrower.

Very nice plants for $10 but $15 for Cheyenne Spirit? If you are happy with the price then that's all that matters. Too high for me though. But the plants look great.
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore looking like an idiot.
