MY HAVE's SEED TRADING LIST
Black Friday on Tuesday additions (12/2)
I just placed my order with Hazzard's, seeds to sow and seeds to share!

Please oink for just ONE packet so I can spread these around... after 3 pm EST Tuesday you can oink for a 2nd pack... and after Tuesday you can oink for whatever is left! :-)

(4 packs )0 Achillea millefolium Flowerburst Red Shades (10+ seeds, nice pink & red mix, bold to pastel) OUT

(8 packs5) Zinnia Oklahoma Mix (rainbow mix, mostly doubles, 2-3 feet tall)

(6 packs2) Zinnia Peppermint Stick (fluffy looking streaked double blooms, 2 feet tall)

(8 packs 6) Basil 'Martina' (green Genovese type)

(8 packs 1) Basil Amethyst dark purple Genovese type

With the Achillea, it's not a huge pack, and I think the seeds will be very small and not pelleted, so I'm just saying each pack will have "a few" seeds -- probably 10+, but no guarantee. Begonia seeds are pelleted, so that's a more definite 10+ count.

*BONUS OFFER*

I wanted us to all have a chance to grow something that blooms "breast cancer awareness pink," in support of Jonna and others. Please pick one of the following -- no oink needed, just post to let me know your choice. 10+ pelleted seeds per pack.

(20) Petunia Carpet Pink (sweet little pink blooms, spreads/cascades nicely).

(20) Petunia Aladdin Pink (ruffled grandiflora, not cascading, tuck it in anywhere)

(20) Mix of Aladdin Pink & Carpet Pink (I'm thinking these would combine nicely!)

and for those with no sun for petunias, I have limited availability on
(6 4) Begonia Pink Splash (cascades of pink blooms, small red-edged leaves)

added 11/23

Pepper, Sweet Pickles (delicious whole for salads or pickles -- seeds have no bitterness)

Tomato, San Marzano (elongated, small, insanely productive)

Basil, "Hot & Spicy" (my name for a variety that came to me via a friend of a friend's friend, from "Goree Island, Senegal")

(Pole Bean, Trionfo di Violetto, lavender flowers and pretty purple pods, commercial

Hippeastrum (amaryllis) 'Flamenco Dancer' x self (Joyanna's first amaryllis "cross") OUT

French Marigold, 'Lemon Gem', commercial, 2010, 2 packs remaining

Zinnia Aztec Burgundy Bicolor (20 seeds, commercial 2013)... OUT

'Yellow Peter Pepper' (2) anatomically shaped hot pepper, commercial 2008

Beet, Chiogga, commercial 2009, 2 packs, anybody know about viability?

Aster, 2014 (tall white one from Ontario, will try to ID later)

Joe Pye Weed, 2014 (tall native variety from the same Ontario lake :-)

Garlic Chives (4)

Aleppo Pepper (4) - Syrian, not commercially available

Fish Pepper (2 remaining), from my garden 2012, variegated leaves, delicious hot peppers

Neck Pumpkin (3, old seeds)

White Pumpkin (old seeds)

Joyanna's Jack O'Lantern, 2014 (locally grown, thick walled, minimal "pumpkin guts")

Pie Pumpkin, 2014 (from 2 different local sources)

Heirloom tomato Carnival Mix from my garden, 2012 (2)

MY SEED WISH LIST
ANYTHING pink and/or purple LOL

Achillea tomentosa

Achillea ptarmiga -- oinked for 'The Pearl' but if there's another variety... :-)

Alcea ficafolia or other perennial (not just 2-year) hollyhock

Pardancanda, Candy lily, especially if from a pink-red or lavender-purple plant.

Nectar plants for bees, especially blooming in early summer, which seems to be my "gap."

Asters, especially shorter native ones

Zinnias, especially pink & purple

THINGS I WOULD CARE NOT TO GET
no worries... anything I can't use, I will pass along to our local mid-winter seed swap.

A BIT ABOUT MY GARDEN
Mostly, I have sunny, messy, cottage-garden areas. I grow a veggie garden each year that's mostly heirloom tomatoes and hybrid peppers. I have a 5 year old daughter, Joyanna (aka "Sunshine Girl"), so we're kid-friendly, and we plant a lot of pink & purple flowers.

We're a NWF backyard wildlife habitat, and I hope to have enough milkweed next year to be a monarch waystation also. I've put my name on a list for consideration as a location for honeybees (local beekeepers can put a hive on my property - they maintain it, I get a jar of honey when they harvest), so I'm paying even more attention to adding nectar plants.

I love irises and am planting out a bunch next year, so I need "airy" plants to grow near them, ones that are reasonably tolerant of dry conditions. Good iris companions tend to have smallish leaves and an open growth habit so that air circulation isn't an issue... columbines (Aquelegia), catchfly (Silene), yarrow (Achillea), you get the idea.

I'm finally winning the War on poison ivy out in the line of trees along our back yard, so I'm doing some shade gardening also, putting in shrubs and understory trees and surrounding them with the shade plants I had no space for before!

Gaillardia: PF note "best in poor loose soil, no clay" -- try at edge of fence row
