Ella's Garden Plants from A to Z: Salvia guaranitica, Brazilian Sage

Common Name: Brazilian Sage

Family: Lamiaceae

Genus: Salvia

Species: guaranitica

Characteristics of Plant
In Maryland zone 7, after wintering outdoors during a strangely mild winter, it reached 6' in my garden (We may be zone 7, but this zone 7 plant never wintered outside before). Of all the sages in the National Arboretum sage collection, this one was most constantly hovered over by hummingbirds during our visit, even with visitors coming and going.
