|Common Name: Medusa Ornamental Pepper|
Cultivar or Variety: Medusa
Characteristics of Plant
|This is another great little Ornamental Pepper that is edible. While the plant itself doesn't get very high, it is a workhorse at producing many multicolored fruits all at once. |
It can be planted in the ground or in containers. Looks cute as an accent plant in containers or a low growing plant in gardens. Does well in both and is a fairly drought tolerant plant.
The fruits are usually a few inches long and make for a nice pepper sauce to eat or just be decorative in a bottle sitting on a self.
Fruits start out yellow and change to orange and than red. Fruits are edible at all stages.
A very popular plant at markets. Small enough of a plant that it can be also grown all winter indoors in a sunny location.
Germination Tips: Pepper plants are best started indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost.
