Welcome to this years swap everybody!  It almost time for it to start. Just a few more weeks. I hope you all are as excited as I am.  This thread will be for general chatting, discussion of plants on the swap, getting help and direction. That way we won't have as much chatter on the actual swap thread. Ya right, I think I the biggest chatter of them all.  Make sure Ya click the Watch button up in the left hand corner, so ya don't lose this forum and thread. We'll be having some new piggies this year, so former piggies, please double check this years rules and lend helping hands to new folks. Ya all know. how the first few hours and days can be a bit hectic and we want everybody to have a good time. Would appreciate it.  Right now we have lots of spaces yet, so feel free to invite your friends to join. Once we start getting up in numbers and I figure out where I gonna make the cut-off at. Soon as I finish it here in a little bit, will come back and give everybody the link to the official rules and swap start thread. Got Foxfire now so t really helps with my dyslexic typing, but still take some time to make the corrections, but at least ya can more or less read what I typing this time. :lol:  |

| I wish to sign up for the seed swap. One of my contributions will be Japanese Red Leaf Maple (bloodgood) seeds. I can do at least 2 packets of 25 or 5 packets of 10. These are recently harvested seeds and require stratification. Picture is of an offspring of the mama tree. Mary  |

| Welcome Mary! Glad you joining. Oh goodie. I been looking for them seed s for awhile. When the swap opens, will be trying to beat everybody else to the trough to get some from you. Welcome too you too Stephanie! On both of your plants, take a close look to see if the seed ready. You would think a s big a s the butterfly bush gets that it would make bigge r seed, but it ha s dust seed too. On both your plants I look and see if the booms are all gone and it looks liekit forming some seed pods they just tiny little bums and then I put a paper bag over the branch and cut it off and bring and lay inside on piece of white typing paper and let finish drying out than gently shake it for seed to come out. Te Cat's Whisker is hard to collect from. it ha s been for me. I usually only able to get one or two seed s from it at a time. It one of them rarer seeds . I do the same way. Maybe somebody will have better way. Chelle. Thanks for bringing that up, Forgot what I had put. Yep Wants has now been changed to Wish list and also have added the Don't Want section too. Some folks have little children or pets and don''t want any seed that could be considered poisonous or like maybe they don't want any veggie seeds. Ask away at any time. Your not alone, even returning piggies ask again as we forget from year to year sometimes. There times I even have to ask me questions. |

| Hi peeps .... some of the seeds I will be looking for are Blushing Susie ..... (Blacked Eye Susan vine) AKA Aftican Sunset Different colors of Butterfly Bush other than purple Lavender This evening I will enter into the database some of the seeds that I can feed the piggy. If I encounter problems I will HOLLAR. Now I need to get outside and do yardwork while the weather is nice ..... just had 3 days of rain. MARY |

| This may be the first time I've posted to Cubits. Hey Ella, I am here, and I know you and my other piggy friends will help me learn to maneuver through this new site. I've had a busy year. I'm a survivor and am looking for bushes and trees to screen our rental property that was involved in a fire this last spring. Some idiot through a lit cigarette out of their car window. Creator must have been looking out for us that day. Fire started just above the wood lot, ran through the dry grass towards our rental house. We may have lost a couple of trees, and bushes, but I feel so Blessed that no one was hurt and the structures weren't damaged. All of my Angels must have been up on that hill fanning their wings to keep the fire from the buildings. That and my neighbors. Took over 20 minutes for the fire dept. to show up. At one point one guy comandeered a water truck and had him water down the side of the road. It was crazy. The first engine on scene had to come in from the next town to the north of us. When our guys got there they were so apologetic. They'd been on a life saving call. It all worked out, and I thanked everyone I could for their help. : - ) There is a whole thread about the Lancaster/Palmdale fire, where we lost some of our beehives. So I guess we survived one flood, and two fires this year. Still life is good, and I'm so glad to see so many of my friends here. I've missed you. I know I'm rubbing off on you! LOL! Have seeds to swap. Will work on list as soon as Pumpkin Patch open for season. : - ) Walk In Beauty! SingingWolf |
