Notice of updates added to bottom of first post of the current thread

We came from here

Rules and official swapping start thread on Nov. 3rd:

Swap Trade Lists are here:

If you have been the past year a Survivor who has lost their gardens due to natural disasters, you don't need any seeds to join. Instead, let the seed fairies here, reach out and share their love of gardening and flowers with you to help you rebuild.

Make sure you mark the Watch button. hurray Any questions feel free to ask.

IMPORTANT INFO! Everybody might just want to make sure they have a back up copy of their trade list in word or whatever it is you use to save info, just in case. we have had a few occasions, myself included when I first joined, where i wasn't keeping a backup copy and was editing and hit a wrong button and lost my list and had to start over.

If you don't know how to save in word, and somebody had to show me, as I pretty bad on puters other than basic stuff, just ask, someone, will tell ya how or show you.

That is why we have have everybody post requests and confirmations on threads first. That way myself or somebody else, can go back through threads and help ya find your swaps again and get ya going again.

Now at some point Dave will be opening the commerce stores up. While he does that. You may find the whole site is down for a little bit while he uploads stuff. I'm going to ask him to try and let me know so I can let ya all know ahead of time it coming, so ya don't panic, if for some reason you can't log into cubits. Sometimes he can give warnings well in advance and sometimes it may just be an hour or two before he does it and site not down long when he does it.

You can always cmail me for my emailaddy for a back up, if ya think ya might have problems on puter and need help or not sure if site is down or if it your computer. I have dial up and it takes me awhile to get email to load, so have patience.

Also, if anybody doe s not know how to oink/request for seeds , don't be shy, just holler and we'll make sure you know.

Too, remember I know ya getting very anxious and them little piggy tails are just a wiggling like crazy, but the swap doe s not open until Wed night at 8 pm est officially, so please, don't be asking folks for seed.

Just a reminder for everybody, when the swap officially opens, everybody all seed requests go on the official swap thread first and then cmail the person you asked the seed from. You might keep two windows open, one to watch the official swap thread and one with the database seed swap list so you can click to everybody cmail addy easily.

If your just skimming the threads for now, make sure you read bolded ones as that means important info from me, Tcs, or Lebug.

Remember, don't be afraid to ask if ya don't understand something, plenty of folks here to help ya.

Good Job! Hilarious!

Sheesh the swap has not started yet and I have Mekos voice ringing in my ears waiting for more stories.

MEKOS!!!!!!!!!!!! My day all your fault. Hilarious! Big Grin

Have been most of the day getting more packets made. Had the door s wide open letting fresh air flow around and have had sitting on seed net to me, on my notebook and papers, huge and I mean huge bee, of some sort. Wondering if it was a killer bee. Looks like it was a mutant breed bee. Even the eye s was weird and they watched me. I mean watched me liek it was trying to talk to me and see if I was friend or foe. Thought I was going to have to defend all these seeds for ya.

I mean this thing would sit and give me the evil eye it was almost an inch and a half long. Didn't see no stinger on it. Finally got it showed out without getting bit.

Then I remembered wanted to collect seed from this real pretty flower and get id and on the way back, I was picking up fallen branches and throwing them out of path. Saw a big one and went with my flip flops on to step on it and break it in half. Just as I reached down to grab and step I realized that no stick.

I started screaming. Loud enough the neighbor which is not close by through her door heard me and came running. I hope somebody can blow pic up and see if they can identify it for me. It still out there, under piece of wood and by some pots. At least maybe let me know if it poisonous or not.

She wanted to try and kill it, but she handicapped right now and if it reared up neither one of us could get out of way fast enough. I wouldn't be much help cuz I was froze to spot with seeds in hand in death grip and camera shaking in other one.

Thumb of 2010-11-01/starlight1153/acdd37

then as if that not enough, she tells me mail came and I head mailbo, shaking all the way hoping snake don't get me. Open mailbox and reach in and seen this.

At first glace I thought was seeds from place I been waiting on til I turned package over and read. The sorry excuse gives for damaged lost and missing mail.

Thumb of 2010-11-01/starlight1153/c209a4

This was what was inside

Thumb of 2010-11-01/starlight1153/101d82

turned the package over and saw this and then went oh geez looks like some sort of corosive all of it and me with bare hand s touching it. I go racing back to house, telling snake to get out of my way, before my fingers possible fall off and I can't do more seed packets.

Thumb of 2010-11-01/starlight1153/d920ed

ha d to open it up and inside was a nice note for the seeds I had sent and sending back some abultion seeds from a trade along with two forever stamps that look like outside of package. Wonder if I could make po take the icky seeds, not my fault they look llike that.

Thumb of 2010-11-01/starlight1153/d13611

Oh by the way did I mention the person sent the seed s sometime in February. Id this part of the snow, sleet, rain or whatever we will deliver mail creed. Hilarious! Whistling

Now, after all that everybody better oink for these seeds I cared so much about for ya. Rolling on the floor laughing JK

Anybody recognize it?

The flowers are very small, bright yellow. Plant only gets about a foot and a half tall. Branches out nicely.

Speaking to PO, I went to send out several envelopes today and one to Canada was cheaper than the ones right here a few states away. Blinking All contained the same thing and weight was same. I was shocked.
Wow Starlight. Yup, I wanted stories but sure dint want you to get hurt. Man!
I don't know what the pictures are. Sorry I can't help.

Mitsi... You can oink for multiply seeds on thread for same request. We try not to ask for more than 5 things max at one time from any one person in one post. Also no more than requesting from 3 people in one thread.

For example this could all be in one post on the official thread:

Lebug I would like your

pink petunia
red daisy
yellow balloon flower
tomato seed
blue morning glory

Tcs.. I oinking for your

white cosmos
yellow marigold

starlight ( or Star) gimmie some
money plant

Then I would cmail then with the same request to each individual. I just would copy and paste and send cmail saying oinking for these. If they have the seed still available they will let ya know.

That way folks can read their name easily, and check lists easier.

If ya need more examples or more clarification just holler. Thumbs up

I need to catch up on some old posts later, but I want to ask a quick question about the new oinking rules. Okay, so a limit of 5 seed selections from 3 people per post, got it.

So, how often can we re-post?
Can we just keep re-posting or do we have to wait a certain length of time or.......?

Thanks for the help Ella! Smiling

I am still packing up seeds, but finding more counter space as I get them cleared up. I have to get my list finished so that I can check out everyone else's. Oink. Oink.

I have a locust bean tree nearby. It drops these long seed pods that look like snakes. I am always jumping at the sight of them, then realizing it isn't a snake.

Here you go Sharon:

To find it you just go to your profile page and click the "c-mail perenniallyme" or "contact perenniallyme" link. When you get the page with the new c-mail form, then you can just copy the address from the address bar. Actually, all the c-mail link addresses are the same except for the member's name at the end, after the = sign.
