Just catching up from the previous chat incarnation - Sorellina - thanks for sharing those trellis photos - I'm always looking for new ideas, and I like the one you can walk beneath and harvest from above:) Patti - you are so not boring - your energy really impresses me - you should add photographer to your list of accomplishments - loved those scenes of shore and water mjsponies - you asked about new seeds - by now, hopefully you're over on the trading thread - check out Sorellina's and Star's My religion is simple. Mekos. Hoping you ok, ya got bad down here yesterday too. Got about three inches of rain. Went from waking up to 60F yesterday morning to 33 this morning and all that rain gonna be ice tonight. Only good thing about yesterday was all them high winds and tornado watches just about cleared every tree of leaves but the Oaks. Now I ankle deep in leaves again. If it ever dries out good enough can get the lawn mower out and have fun mowing them. Sorellina. Thank you for the pics. Had to chuckle about how your men like to hunt it, build it. LOL Lebug and Critter. ![]() Mj.. Glad your doing better. Wildflowers... Very nice looking squash. I remember the first time I ever planted some squash seed. I had no idea what I was doing, but decided to give them a try. I asked a friend what to do. They said plant three seeds together. I did that. planted them in some small pots to start them off then transplanted to garden. Friend said mound up a hill and dig a big hole in center add a couple of handfuls of composted manure, put in transplants, water in and let grow. Did that. They grew and had blossoms. Told friend that the plants were still awful small to making blooms. Friend said pull them off. I did. For weeks and weeks every time I saw blooms I pulled them off. I started getting big plants, had lots of foliage and then noticed wasn't getting many blooms anymore and I sure wasn't getting any squash. ![]() ![]() Learn and grow.. Grow and Learn. ![]() |

Ciao all- I'm still finding new things to share. How long do we keep trading before we have to scamper to the post office? Be advised, Canada Post and USPS don't work well together always, so my parcel will need at least 7 business days to reach you, Starlight. Wildflowers, I found another pack of the Caribbean Cocktail Nasturtium so it's yours. I think I'll have enough of the Alaska also. Danita, I found Purple Milpa Tomatillo. Let me know if you'd like that one. I had a small amount, so I didn't include it in the Big List Of Seeds I Have Way Too Much Of So Please Take Some Off My Hands. ![]() Grazie a tutti, Julianna |

I re-read the "What send in" post, and looked for updates in the various threads. I may have missed something, but here's my questions: 1. May we send our postage via PayPal? Or should we put bills in the mailer or box that we send to you? 2. It sounds like you will send back to us in Priority boxes - so we do not need to send you a big enough box for what might come back, right? 3. Is it OK to put multiple Oinks for one person (like 5 2x3 inch Zip-locks) inside one non-zip sandwhich baggie? The baggie (plus rubber band) seems to wrap around the seed pkts well enough to hold them in place. I thought that Scotch tape might be annoying to cut off, but I'll tape them closed if you like that better, to keep things from falling out while you sort. 4. Is this OK? I've been putting a piece of paper into each sandwhich Baggie, so that you can read it through the baggie: - the recipient's screen name, - the NUMBER of Oinks contained in that Baggie - a list of the seeds in that one Baggie for that one person 5. Plus my real name and real return address label and screen name. To clarify: I'm sending seeds for 16 people, so I might send you 16 sandwhich Baggies in a bubble-mailer. Each baggie would have seeds for just one person, like 1-10 seed Zip-locks per Baggie. Corey |

Ciao Steven- Honestly, I can take what we have right now, it's close to Vancouver type winter weather and I'm good with that. Once it gets below 0C and stays there, I try to go out as little as possible. February is my absolute least-favourite month. I try to make sure I have plenty of spare lightbulbs in the house to keep it nice and bright and I catch up on my reading, my mending, I do a lot of baking, and I plan my garden. Once Duane starts his early chile pepper seeds started in late January, I obsess over when they germinate and I get my area of the downstairs laundry room tidied for my seeds. I'm not one of these nutbar winter-loving Canadians. I hate it..strong words but the truth. So to survive, I keep myself busy with really tedious projects that require a lot of focus on detail. ![]() Off to make myself a hot chocolate now. Grazie a tutti, Julianna |

I may have missed something, but here's my questions: #1 -- I dont think Ella has paypal - send cash #2 -- I think Ella keeps up on the boxes [get them free at the PO] I think I recall sending a mailing label all filled out. But Ella may now computer generate them. she may have to answer this one #3 -- yes. I've had them come to me in fold-over sandwich baggies, they were stapled or taped shut. rubber band would work too. #4 -- I to the same on an index card [but now most all all scribbled on, from add ons, that i will probably re-do them on paper] #5 -- looks good and to clarify.... Yes, perfect. Terese -- Leesburg, FL & Lake Delton, Wi My Email is my userID at hotmail.com |
