Sorry I've been away all day.... I had a few issues with 2 of my on-line accounts being 'compromise'.

my hotmail and my facebook account -- the FB i still do not have control over yet....

but this 'person' sent emails stating that DH and I were in London and were mugged and needed money to get home.

needless to say... DH and I were scrambling all day trying to fix things...

at least our financial accounts were not attacked.

What a nightmare... and NO ONE makes it easy to 'reclaim' an account that has been hacked. and there is NO help out there, you have to clean up the mess by yourself.

Ugggggggg - rough day.

Sorry we over posted Lynn. I agree If they could catch the culprits, they should lock them away and toss the key in the ocean! And a few more things I COULD think up!!!!!

Terese that's down right awful and people ask me why I won't go on FB! This is the only place I go. Tony is on one of the dating sites and someone took his Id and no one would do anything about it there either not sure what he ended up doing about it but he is still on there I wouldn't be. No one got in his financial accounts either just his Id. C a razy world we live in anymore sometimes I'm glad I'm not any younger no telling what they will come up with in the way future, it's getting pretty bad out there and to ruin it for a bunch of decent folks! Grumbling I'm sorry you have to go thru all of that Terese hope it passes soon! Heads up girl!

Isn't it wonderful that Dave takes such good care of us Thumbs up

I dont put FB in my real name, I dont put anything I dont have to in my real info online. If they dont need it but require it I make something up. Sorry youre having to go through that TCS. Our company has lifelock that they are offering this year for us. I figured sure why not, come in a little bundle with lawyers and doctors that you email about your issues and they can even do your prescriptions for some things without a doc appt and fee at least for small things. I agree

I'm assuming my account is not recoverable, and IF, big IF i went back in FB, I may use my name, but an email that i dont use, and one that has NO contacts.

the huge thing is passwords. I was lucky nothing else got hacked.

I was able to recover my address book, which was a great find.

we are just glad that it wasn't worse than it was.

Hopefully FB will find out who has done this.

DH even called the police station in London... they said this is quite common.
sad but true.

Tcs... What a mess, I know what a mess and panic I had before and it wasn't FB. I stay off them places. Not only is my puter too old and no power for them places, I don't have the computer smarts to even try and repair an figure stuff out.

I get in the mail all them times, those in the mail letters with checks attached.

The oddest one was, and everybody know s what a coffee freak I am, but not this big. I got delivered one of them big fancy coffee machines and they had charge d my checking account. Something I didn't order, didn't want, and had to go file charges to get money back and open new accounts.

I hardly even go to or use my email addies anymore, I figure if somebody wants me, they can find me here. I don't have time to run my jaws in emails, LOL I too busy running it on cubits somewhere. Rolling on the floor laughing

No piggy boxes yesterday. Mail lady just waved Hi as she sailed on by.

When I get enough light later have to try and take a pic of a bowl of seeds and have the flower they came from. They a beautiful little flower that ha s purple flowers, like salvia, but I have no idea what they are and sure some of ya would like them. They a really nice neat plant with good branching. It probably something common, but it not registering with my brain. Of course my brain don't register alot anyways. Rolling on the floor laughing

I have a dumb question, *Blush* Picked up some bird seed yesterday, cheap stuff and not a lot of it, but wondered. Can you plant some of the bird seed that comes in the bags. Will it grow or has something been done to it so it like won't germinate all over folks yards?

Yep, I agree That stuff sprouts everywhere! My birds are messy eaters and they scatter more than they eat in summer so I get volunteer plants of everything in there. Big Grin

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone. All' quiet here - St. Ray, our feline ruler, has had his snack and finished grooming his whiskers; DH and I dragged in a few branches of yew (no berries, and St. Ray has never shown any interest over the years) and silver holly (now we can maneuver down that path), stuck them in a pot with water and decorated with tiny lights and mementos from friends and family from Christmases past. Snow blankets our corner of the world, and the moon is shining brightly.

Whether you're out carousing or snuggled at home, wishing y'all season's joy -

Karen

Happy Holidays to each of you Lovey dubby

My young gentlemen and myself have had a wonderful Christmas. They are settled quietly 'playing' with their gifts, and I am happily making newspaper pots to get all these seeds coming my way started in. Hurray!
