Bluespiral, you're too good to me! Glad pouting wasn't needed LOL I've been really haphazard with the swap this year -- lots going on with Joyanna, then my in-laws came for Thanksgiving and Dad spent 2 days in the hospital here (all is well & he was "sprung" this morning). I'm sorry for being so random! Star oinking please for Playcodon Dwarf Blue Campanularia persicifolia white Eyeball Plant Erysimum wallflower Coreposis Rising Sun (from your 11/20 flower list, if you happen to still have some) Circles of Support for Breast Cancer I'm learning to dance in the rain! Thank you, Sally & Chris & Sharon. |

Oinking for JuliesAcre Salvia lyrata 'Purple Volcano' Note to All Piggies : This was mentioned on the other thread. Julie is new. Cubits rules limit the number of emails sent daily so she is having trouble oinking. The rules permit her to reply to an unlimited number of emails. If we send her an email "In case you want to oink from me" then she can reply. We have to help her out. We can't let her go hungry while we are all pigging out! This is a link to her homepage http://cubits.org/users/profile/JuliesAcre/ This is a link to her cmail (I think) http://cubits.org/users/mail/new.php?q=JuliesAcre |

tcs .... Bluestone says 'Numerous lavender flower heads are more clustered than spiked. A very becoming complement to the deep purple silver foliage and stems. Leaves will turn to brilliant red in fall and persist into early winter. " for your Penstemon digitalis Mystica. Do you really get the lav flowers, purple foliage, and red in the fall? Not sure if I have an image. the foliage is just like Huskers Red, only shorter. -- so yea, the dark colors. I just love them in the spring and fall as the colors pop in the flower beds. and ironic... i bought mine from Bluestone. I'll look around for an image... may take me a while between 2 locations to look thru them. Terese -- Leesburg, FL & Lake Delton, Wi My Email is my userID at hotmail.com |

Jonna, here if you look at the note on the pic to the left is says it has sticky leaves http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saxifraga I thought they had it incorrect so I went on a research hunt and found this http://www.carnivorousplants.org/cp/MurderousPlants.php They list it more as a murderous plant because it doesn't necessarily feed on them but it does catch and kill them. Looks like its good to zone 6 and far as I can tell can be planted in normal soil. Still checking on that |

The plants are here in normal soil. I also have the 'murdurous' S. ubrosa and the Dipsacum fullonum. I already noticed that the Dipsacum catches insects, but never noticed it on the Saxifraga's. Will have a better look at them. |
