This Thread is for anything related to GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) foods and seeds. There are many guilty parties with Monsanto being at the top of the list. If you have questions, news or just want to know about some of your seeds please feel free to post here. We are all here to help each other learn about these things and grow and eat the very best foods we can.
Great thread! I'm just beginning to really dig into this myself and there seems to be an extraordinary amount of misinformation or disinformation to process in order to get to the core facts. I look forward to watching the discussion and getting educated.

Glad to have you both here! I try to keep my pinterest board clear of misinformation but sometimes I do miss something. If you find something please let me know.
I agree Alana, it especially concerns me as we live amidst several farmers here in Fate. I would really love to know if they use GM seed or not. Looks like they mostly grow winter wheat, hay and alfalfa. I do love the smell of Alfalfa. I see some crops that look like corn plants until they get older then not so much. I am not sure what those are. so I just hope I can keep my flowers and veggies from cross pollinating.
That's it! Thank you! OK so at least no corn is around us and no soy bean, so that makes me feel a little better. I do believe they have modified Alfalfa though I will have to check on that again.
I posted this to my garden board but thought it would be good to add in here too http://pinterest.com/pin/193232640234673661/
If you click it, it takes you to some good seed saving info too.
I know what you mean and they look at us like we should be wearing tin foil hats. but things start to add up when you start piecing things together. For example, why all of a sudden did Monsanto need protection from being sued for health issues? so much so he paid off the right people to get it slipped into the temporary budget bill. THEN I see an article in Mother Earth magazine about the newest longest study that had been done on GMOs. 7 year study and it came to the conclusion that there is enough doubt that they should not be deemed as safe at this point.
