If you have Netflix, Ethos is an awesome documentary. They even mention records they were given regarding Monsanto and the Hormones and antibiotics they use.

yea I saw that. I saw the comment below that said they were wrong, its a hybrid not GMO. But when you search for it you get a bag of mixed results. I would be willing to bet it is GMO. That's scary stuff!

The winner of a prestigious prize for fighting world hunger is… a Monsanto executive who has played a major role in developing genetically engineered crops.

ok THIS explains how Monsanto got the world food prize

Monsanto Gives Itself a "Prestigious" Prize
The World Food Prize for 2013 goes to Monsanto executive vice president Robert T. Fraley and two other genetic engineers for devising a way to insert foreign genes into plant cells. And who are the donors who support this "prestigious" prize? Monsanto, DuPont Pioneer, Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill, General Mills, Hormel, Land O' Lakes, Nationwide Agribusiness, PepsiCo, Syngenta, and Wal-Mart, among others.

Interesting. In most contests and awards the sponsoring companies and their employees are not eligible to win. I suppose if you make the contest you can make the contest rules, too.
