Please count me in as a regular. Thank you, Terese, for the email. Thanks to you, this year I have arrived BEFORE the starting gun. (Last year the swap had been going on for a week before I waddled over here, thinking "I wonder if it's about time for that Hog Wild Seed Swap.") Edited to add "..and thank you, Ella, for running it." Psalm 100 (look it up) |

Welcome Lisa! Everyone here was new at one time or another. ![]() |

Brrrrrrrr. I am about frozen here. We got big timfe frost. Guess I will have to throw some extra hay into the barn. Maybe even see if I need to get doggie sweaters to keep a few of you warm. Than again, everybody could just pile up to stay warm. Lilydreamer... Lisa... Welcome to this years swap. Ahhhh another Daylily lover. Hybridizing is lots of fun. Lots of surprises for sure. Feel free to ask all the questions you want. Some of the best prime piggies around are here. Thinking about piggies has me wanting bacon and lots of it. LOL Don't be scared or afraid. After first couple posts, you'll be wondering what you may have scared of. At the opening, the posts will go crazy it seems, but like we tell all newbies, just take your time. The big thing is getting your Oinks asked for first on the thread, than after you catch your breath you can cmail folks and answer confirmations. Doing the cmails is easy is you just copy and paste from off the Oinking thread. If all the piggies be good, I usually up the limits and so from off of part ! alone you can end up with maybe 160 or better in seed packets. Just take your time, ask for help if you need it. If you need to run to corner of the barn and catch your breath for a minute, that fine. Also, don't think swap is over because you hit your limit. Always keep checking as we have a few straggler piggies, or folks that get some last harvesting done and may offer seed up even after we close the barn doors and ya never know what I still have left or extras that come in that I may post and are up for grabs to first oinkers. IMPORTANT..... Before I forget to the regulars and the newbies and any Survivors. Remember Tuink's list does not have any restrictions. Post on threads first, but MAKE SURE YOU SEND HER CMAILS!!!! When she gets a chance, she willconfirm or to make sure she has also got your confirmation, you can check her Trades going out section when she does it. PS. Anybody still have their gummy pig besides me? Thought they was too cute to eat. LOL For Newbies and Survivors, oinking from Tuink's list is the only one you can list more than 20 items a day from, but all the oinks to her in one day count against your 100 count total. Her time is very limited and so is her computer time, so for example if there are 40 items you want from her, list them all at once on thread and than send in a cmail. That would reduce your 100 count to 60. For all other piggies it is the 20 oinks per day but you can do your 20 oinks plus whatever you Oink from Tuink all in the same day. The long haulers, have to close their lists early to get their boxes here, Clear as mud? If not , just holler and will show you an example of what I mean. Also, newbies, you might start practicing you bold keys. When oinking on threads for easy reading we bold the first names. That way you can scroll down easy to hunt for your name. ex: Patrob Tuink.... You posted your new seed list on the wrong database. You need to copy and paste it over here http://cubits.org/ellasgarden/db/2013piggyseedswap/index.php If you don't have time to transfer it, just get your name and cmail addy posted and Patti, TCS, or myself will transfer the info for you. Folks soon as we get Tuink transfered, we are going to lock to posts the old database, til we get everybody on the same page, so to speak. Don't want any piggies getting lost. ![]() Glad to see so many piggies coming back. Welcome all. Evelyn.... LOL Ya know you don't need a whole lot of seed to play. |

Tcs Forgot to tell ya. Yep, kept you a lean piggy last year, but don't worry will be getting you stocked up nice and fat again with seed for your new move. ![]() |

I want to buy some cut flower seed to also have to offer up here... What are your favorite places to buy, for variety and for price? CC |

Patti1957 wrote:Lisa, here is a link to using BB Code at Cubits I'll add to this as a reminder: only the first few of those listed in the link are enabled for use in the posting areas of cubits; the rest are enabled for databases, articles and other uses, but they won't work in your posts here. ![]() |

lilydaydreamer here is the easiest way to remember how to do bold- but there are no spaces inside the brackets when you actually do it, [b]whatever[/b ] |

I would like to sign up for the swap as a Newbie please. And I hope I am up to the challenge. Wonder what a stampede of hungry pigs can do to a Newbie? Ouch! (Note to self: practice bold) bold |

Welcome Greene! Glad to have ya in this years swap. Don't worry! You may get a few bumps and bruises at the initial opening of the barn doors barn, but don't worry, the other piggies will just pick up newbies up and carry you right along with them. Otherwise they know know I will make pork chops or bacon out of them. ![]() Seriously, there is a good group of gardeners here and they love to share and help folks, so don't be afraid to ask any question or for help. heck, there is time when I have to ask them for help myself. Love the pic of you and your doggie. He or she got a name? Noticed you have wrote I plant, my dog digs. ![]() ![]() |

![]() I saw that too, Ella, ![]() ![]() Shine Your Light |

Here too. My dog digs, my chickens remove the plant tags and the seeds. Welcome Greene! You'll find the piggies are all pretty well behaved. You will quickly learn to keep up so that you won't spend a lot of time with this for a view. ![]() |

Thank you! Love what you teach and teach what you love! |

Thanks for the warm welcome. My dog is a boy named Jack and he showed an ability and desire to dig. I say 'dig, Jack, dig' and point to the ground and he will dig until he uproots the plant even pulling out the roots with his teeth. Saves my back and he works for peanuts. |
|
|||
yep lol I had one that would dig my holes for me upon request and another that would take weeds and branches to the pile for me lol |

I got a new weenie dog a couple months ago and her favorite thing is catching the huge grasshoppers in the yard. She finds the ones I don't see, carries them out and rolls and tortures them. Good Brat. She is named for Bratwurst sausage ![]() ![]() ![]() Welcome Newbies!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cubits codes http://cubits.org/special/pages/bbcode.php Hog wild swap list http://cubits.org/ellasgarden/db/2014piggyseedswap/view/9878...
