Hi Greene, good to see you here. |

New piggies Just wanted to remind you that we have a chat thread here: http://cubits.org/ellasgarden/thread/view/76795/#new_post Just in case you didn't see it, there is always a general chat thread going over in the Cottage Garden. Even if you don't feel like chatting, you can click on the 'Watch' button at the top of the thread. It helps to keep up with these piggies. ![]() Shine Your Light |

Thanks Wildflowers for that note. Also want to remind all the piggies that as you get a chance, look at Tuink's list and you might want to save what you want on a word document, to copy and paste later on the threads for when the swap opens. DO NOT SEND her your lists yet. You have to wait until swap starts, though some of you may have noticed my requests to her already. Yep, I put in my request. That's because I get so busy with everything during the swap, I never have time to really look. First year I have actually had time to look all through Tuink's and Joanna sites. Bookmark their sites as if you happen to miss out on something or want something later, they do sell seeds too. Patti1957 also has a store with seed for sale too, so don't forget to bookmark her cubit too. ![]() Our long haulers, as I fondly call them, generally close their lists a couple of weeks before the end of the swap to start packing and shipping. They will let everybody know before that happens. |

OK I am taking the plunge, newby here. Hope I am posting this in the right place. I have been known as Woo for over 30 years, long story! A true piggy story and a chuckle. My wife and I were visiting a farm to pick up some free landscaping rock. (Anything we could pick up and carry to the truck was *free*!) To say the farm was in a rural setting is no exaggeration. We called the guy to make sure our GPS was not playing a trick on us, he said you are on the right track just keep coming and look for the pig near the house. We had the phone on speaker and when we heard this we looked a question at one another and kept driving. As we pull into the yard we see a HUGE statue of a pig. Dave (the farmer) walks over to the truck and we all introduce ourselves and talk about his place for a few minutes (he runs a horse rescue organization) then he offers to show us where the rock is, as we drive pass the farmhouse the pig (don't forget HUGE) moves his head as we slowly drive past the house and then takes two steps. We both let out the same words WOW ITS REAL! Anyway we collect our rock and buy some paving stones (20 of them for $10!!) and follow Dave back to the house. He introduces us to Jeremy pig, he is ten years old and as gentle as a butterfly. He sniffed and snuffled and walked over to us, just standing there making little squealing sounds, Dave informed us he likes his ears scratched, he then tells us the last time Jeremy was weighed he was over 600lbs and he just keeps growing! I will walk once more in the land of my ancestors and know I am home. Alba an Aigh |
