I grew these plants. Veronica First Glory and Penstemon Prairie Twilight. Both are hybrids. Bees, butterflies and hummers were all over them. Now I collected seed from them I think. Not sure f they or sterile or not. Not even sure if these little balls are seed. Now I have enough for maybe 5 or 6 packets packets if somebody wants to take the time to try and germinate them. Have no idea what they will turn out like. May have some that looks like parent and may have whole new cultivar if they germinate who knows.

There another problem too. I gathered the long stems and laid out to dry and little paper with who is who is missing, so you may get one or the other or both.

Links below to pics and here is my pic I tried to take. I so bad with a camera, now ya know why I ask for pics for the database all the time.
This was a tiny 2'x2" plug and only took three months for it to grow up and branch out. Both of them do go through a sort of summer dormancy for 2-3 weeks during hot part of season and than they come right blooming and are some food for last beneficials around.

Now if 6 of you want to try some, I will not consider it an Oink. Especially since I haven't tried to germinate them. Just found stacked under other seed on counter.

I'd be happy to try some of the Veronica First Glory and Penstemon Prairie Twilight and I can let you know if they germinate, and if they do, what I get.

Thanks!

Going to try to do a bit of enabling here. Hilarious!

For those following chat thread. Awhile back was trying to figure out where seed for this Aster was. Well, finally figured it out. Hundreds of potential seed inside each seed pod but only one or two viable plump seeds per pod. For the life of me cannot think of name for this one. Grumbling Driving me crazy trying to think of it. Maybe it will come to me later or i'll find my paper with its name.

The plant leaves get about 6-8 inches tall. Inceases fast, so I recommend giving it plenty of room. Already divided my one year old plants. One plant divided made about 7-10 more. Blooms first year. Flowers are prettiest shade of light true blue with darker ringed eye and white centers. Flowers like crazy ad tons of flowers above the foliage. Butterflies and hummers and bees love it. Thumbs up

Have 7 packets of this lovely Aster for your Oinking pleasure.
