Ciao Ella -

I'm not anxious. I was that first year because I had no idea what to expect, but now I do. I'm usually the last or near enough to last to get my parcel, so I don't entirely rely on this year's swap seeds to get me going. What I do hope to have in place before this parcel and the parcel from Pat's swap are more sleeves for my seed binders and a couple of new seed boxes from Dollarama. They're such big parcels that I want to make sure all seeds get inventoried and put in their proper places - the ones that I don't plant this year, that is. Duane got me a really nice metal filing box specifically designed for a gardener's planting year, organized by months. That's what I use for all the seeds I will plant for 2014.
Grazie a tutti,
Julianna

Mine has been in transit to a sort facility since Tuesday. It still says it's scheduled for Delivery on January 6.

I think it's gonna be late - but then again, it's too cold to plant much yet anyway. They will eventually get it all sorted out and everything sent on it's way. No worries, Ella! Don't go Postal on us just yet. We're doing just fine out here in Piggy land! Group hug

and the beloved Winston the pug
While venturing out in the frozen tundra to walk Winston the pug, I saw the mail lady turn up the driveway with her little red van full of boxes. Be still my piggy heart! Winston was feeling unusually adventurous this morning, so we took our much needed exercise while carefully avoiding icy patches and finally returned home. False alarm, one of my neighbors must have received a package.

I checked usps. My box is still in Fort Mitchel. It is probably waiting out the storms before heading north. We are having clear but cold weather for a while with light snow this weekend. the post office should be able to catch up until the next polar vortex. Don't go postal on my account, Ella. I am sure they will get my box heading north soon.

Jonna, I'd love to see a picture of your special metal seed sorting box! I have been using shoeboxes and just upgraded to plastic shoeboxes from the dollar store so I can add some dessicant. I have my seeed boxes stacked in a built in gun cabinet in my living room. you know you live in the country when your flat has a built in bookcase/gun cabinet combo. It would be really handy if you want to sit on the deck and shoot deer on the lawn - lol. I wintersow seeds on the deck instead.

Oink! Squeeeaaalll! Big fat package of seeds is here! So much for the cleaning I was going to do today. Gotta look at and admire each packet, of course. One very happy piggy here!

PIGGIES STUCK STILL IN AL.

Just got back from post office. Poor Jessie. Gotta love that man. He knew how upset I was, even told him what I wrote this morning. He told me to take it easy and don't do anything. Actually, when I get really mad or upset, I don't yell or scream, I cry and he saw the waterworks coming on. As long as I talking I good, I will fuss and grumble it when I stop that things are bad.

Anyways here is the news. The head plant manager in Montgomery is upset. He shut the plant down last night. They looking for the bag of missing mail. It not just you piggies missing it everybody else that in that bag too.

The plant manager has all the pics of the tape and all the numbers. He emailed Jessie back late last night that he was shutting down plant to find the stuff and tracking every mile of where the mailbag went and who had it.

He supposed to email Jessie back as soon as he figures everything out. Hopefully it will be sometime today. Jesse has appointments this afternoon so he off now and I not gonna make another trip today to po cuz guy working isn't going to be able to help, but Jessie is there at 9 am tomorrow morning, so I am to call him then and he should have all the updates, well actually hopefully, crossing hoffs and wishing on a star that by morning they all showing they was found and moving on out. I do know somebody heads gonna roll.

JOSEPH... You got mailed today. Will cmail you your c onfirmation numebr in a minute. All the piggies out and about now except for Sass and KWILDs.

Remember, if ya have questions, complaints, cmail me. I human I forget stuff and still haven't cleared whole area from where I had to move things from busted water mess .

Glad the rest of the piggies so far are at least moving and arriving.

I don't understand the 'metal seed sorting box', but I suppose you want to know how I sort my seeds.
Well, I was lucky enough to get some good stuff from my stephson, who works in a hospital and when the hospital moved, they threw a lot away.

I have 2 of those huge ones.

When I collect seeds, I use all kind of boxes to let them dry:

When I get seeds from trades, I put them in these ones (also got them from my stephson, I have about 50 of them)

Well, you might all think I'm very organised, but my seedroom is always a mess. On the bottom you see my liquors, waiting to be ready.

I love your seed room, Jonna! You do tons of good work with your seeds.

I think the original mention of a metal seed box may have been a comment from Sorellina. Maybe she will let us know what her metal seed box is like. Smiling

I just got home and my seeds are here! Yippee! I won't get to look at them until I feed the critters, including me, but I will be having a cuppa and a good look later this evening.
Thanks Ella!
