Hi All, My sister is out of town right now, but as I recall, she had quite a bit left. I should have enough to fill the first 8 oinks, but I don't think has been reached yet. Will add to my list now. |

I'm closing and printing out my lists, and hope to do all my packing this weekend! Confirming these oinks: Andi Patti1857 Danita (as long as the franchi seeds arrive in time!) greene I want to thank everybody that I oinked form, and also the people who will be giving my seeds a good home. I hope you like them enough to eat them up whole! I had a great time seeing all my Hog Wild friends! Thank you. A reminder: if weather gets too hot or dry for these Asian Brassica greens, almost any of them are good as baby leaves, raw, in salad. If it isn't hairy, it's probably tender and sweet. The young flowering stems and barely-open flowers of many varieties are called delicacies by some, but maybe that's an acquired taste except for Yu Choy Sum including Hon-Tsai-Tai (B. rapa var parachinensis or B. rapa Purpuraria Group)) and Celtuce. |

Confirming oinks from : soilsandup, greene, Patti1957, and JonnaSudenius...I think I responded to all cmails...let me know if not. Also new addition available: Hoary Vervain - Verbena stricta - 5 available but they have been siting on the shelf since collection in September...oops. Drought tolerant. Same with my Stiff Goldenrod....had forgot about them on the shelf by the door. I packed it up last night and found a few of the seeds had been eaten by insects. I have placed in freezer to prevent any further damage but recommend receivers do the same just in case any little bugs survive (no bugs on the vervain seeds so they are likely species specific). |

Christine and ILoveJesus Got ya both. FOLKS!!!!!!!! Make sure bold folks names. Some of ya are forgetting and your oinks may not be seen. We getting down to the last couple of days, but let's keep it neat and proper. Also, if your databases are closed, make sure ya put CLOSED after your name. AND!!!!! Just cuz your database is closed and you have sent your seeds, make sure ya check in on and off. Ya never know if I will offer up more seed or some other goodies, and if I do than some of you will be crying when you miss out. The swap is not officially over til I close the barn doors and we have the piggy party. Got the camera this year and heheheheh , well you'll just have to wait and see. ![]() ![]() Oh .... and get your databases caught up and any extras added now on your Wishlists that you want. Last chance to do it. Remember to make some sort of mark under the list you had before, so I know where to pick up and add to your card. Lastly for the moment and this is IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!! For the past several years folks have forgotten or just not read the posts about not deleting things out of their databases til I give the Ok. It holds me up if I have a question about some seed, can't read clearly the writing or just making sure everything there for the person intended or I can't read my own chicken scratch on cards and have to double check things. ![]() ![]() So this year, when oinking closes, the databases will be closing too. You will still be able to make changes and do updates or whatever, but instead of you being able to have it change instantly, it will go to approval by the one of the admids first. That way I don't have to worry about things being deleted and wasting time hunting back through threads to verify or check seeds or something. They will be unlocked once I all done and have everything packed and than you can leave them or whatever. Any questions just holler out That's why I say get your databases caught up now. |

Ella I would love to see piggies leave their data bases up. It is hard sometimes to remember what each seed is and if they have a link it sure helps plan the garden. Of Course this is just my opinion. Is there a reason one would not leave it up? I am asking because I can't think of one to take mine down ![]() Cubits codes http://cubits.org/special/pages/bbcode.php Hog wild swap list http://cubits.org/ellasgarden/db/2014piggyseedswap/view/9878... Sandy Most do leave them up. There a spot at bottom for folks to make notes about there garden and how things grew for refernce. The reason some folks delete is because even after swap is closed, folks not in swap will come and look through lists and if they see you have, they may cmail you and either ask for trade or seed from you just for postage. Some piggies do not want to be bothered with cmails asking for seed after swap so they delete everything. Which is fine, I have no problem with that, just don't want them deleted when I trying to sort through 10,000 plus seeds. Plus when I am going through one to ones or extras or my special stash to find piggies goodies, than say for example if somebody has lettuce on their wishlist and I have some in the 1 to 1 or extra pile I can look quick and see that they already got 3 packs of lettuce and so I don't send them anymore, but will look for something else on their lists that they wanted and didn't get. |
