Great news this morning! Tuink's box has arrived, another long hauler safely to its new mommy. Danita is finally on the move in being process at the North, Ga facility Blue, has moved a bit closer to home, hoping both her and Barbara00 get there packages before this next winter storm blast hits them and slows things up again. Arlene, must like looking at the planes and the people because she still stuck in Atlanta unless somebody hasn't scanned her as being on the move. Barbara00 Says still in Jacksonville, Fl. hoping that her seeds are traveling along incognito and will be arriving at her home soon. BrendaVR... Last long hauler that we waiting on. Not sure how long it gonna take regular postage to get there through the frozen tunra, but sure hope that it is soon. Slowly everybody getting to where they belong. Hopefully soon. Went to Lexington over the weekend. Got home last night and guess what I found? My seeds arrived on Saturday evening! Thanks everyone for the seeds sent to me. I especially grateful for the seeds I did not request. I was sent Crickets. I LOVE that plant. I love so many I forget what to ask for. Ella, thanks for everything you do. It probably doesn't seem like much to you but ot is to me. Terese got me started with winter sowing and this swap and I am hooked. Im spreading the love to othersx around me. So many around me want to start plants from seed now. My DBF cannot wait to get the veggie seeds started. Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. |
Your welcome Anita! You were a good challenge to figure out what to send. Glad you finding some things you like. If DBF finds he wants to try some other veggies, just holler and I'll send ya some for him. That is one of the goals of this swap. Is to share and to get others interested in gardening not only of plants to enhance their yards, but to enhance the beneficial populations and also to show folks that they can grow their own food and help supplement food budgets with healthy fresh foods instead of who knows how old grocery store stuff. When grow plants and sprout seeds, you not only enhance your life, but others around you and knowledge and new friendships are formed. One Piggy swap a ways back, I think it was Bluespiral that had put this saying on the tags of the seed she sent. I fell in love with that saying and believe it. Quoting: |

Ella - someone else sent in that quote - not me. I love it too. My religion is simple. My religion is kindness. Dalai Lama |

Thanks Blue for the correction. For some reason I was thinking it was you. Well, it came from a piggy, not sure who now. ![]() |
Starlight/Ella, if you don't figure out which piggy send in that quote, I looked it up and it is attributed to John Harrigan. All the little piggies will sure have lot of happiness sharing the seeds. Thanks for a great swap. |
OK, ya got me. What is a Crickets plant? What is it really? If you can grow it in Indiana, I might be able to grow it in Missouri - but what is it? I'm just a curious little Piggy sniffling around new seed info. ![]() ![]() |

I'm here! ![]() |

Dayjilly... We need Anita to say for sure, but I think it is one of the like Venus fly trap or bog type plants that eat crickets and such. That is if I remembering right. There was so many scientific names I had to look up, so many interesting plants, that I can't quite remember for sure. Hopefully Anita will come back soon and share. Don't ya just love common names. ![]() |

Whew! I'm so relieved that my package has finally updated again. Hopefully, I'll have seeds in hand tomorrow! ![]() I'm with you Jill..... Anita, what is a Crickets plant? |

I've made it to the new thread too. :) Turns out we did get mail delivery today after all....but sadly no piggy package. I expect it will arrive this week sometime though. Surprisingly nice weather the last few days. |

Hi piggies! Popping in between snow storms. |
No further update on mine. I'm thinking maybe not until Wed. or even Thurs. but I'll keep you posted. |
Arlene.... I'll be calling Debra first thing in the morning and see if she can track, will file another official complaint on you and Barbara00 if I don't see any movement in the morning. BrendaVR. Boy I sure hope it comes for you soon. Thing is without a tracking number I can't tell where you are. Let's hope you still not sitting down in Florida soaking up sun. If they don't come within the next week or so, than I'll see if the piggies still have seed to replace yours. I know you didn't have many oinks, but yours were all specific ones, plus the few I threw in extra for ya. I even made sure I taped your name and addy good, so the snow or freezing rain wouldn't smear it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! ![]() ![]() BrendaVR I found your seeds. I forgot that I had to fill out a customs form for you too and so I went hunting and found the customs number, which I will cmail you in a few minutes. Your seeds are loving the warm weather down in Florida. You went to Jacksonville, FL with the rest of the missing piggies, but where the other long haulers decided to fly out, you my dear have been sun bathing around the town. You just left Miami FL. today. Hopefully that means you are on a plane heading north and not going to play in the sun anymore. Your seeds must know how cold it is up there and just want to soak up some more warmth before they hit your chilly weather. Usually once they leave Florida it takes another week or two to be delivered. That the bad news. Good news is your found and on the move at least. I can't believe it too em three days to get you from the boarder of Ga, Florida down to the bottom. You must have wanted to visit Disney world pretty bad and all the other cool vacation spots. Thanks for keeping track! I can't do anything until Thurs. now anyway so no biggie. |

Now to just find and account for the last piggy. Barbara00 where are you hiding? No need to be shy now. Come out ..come out wherever you are. If by chance you are up in MD and somebody just forgot to scan you, please as soon as your box arrives let me know or text your sister and have her let me know. Once I know where all the piggies are than I can relax, breath and think about looking in my box and enjoying my surprises and seed. I always wait til the last piggy is delivered before I get into my goodies. I guess I do that cuz it not polite to eat in front of company and ya all are company even though it seeds and not cakes and coffee I passing out. Wildflowers We supposed to have some warm temps this week, so keeping my eyes out for any sign of growth on the sassafrass seedling for ya. I haven't forgotten that your biggest wish. ![]() |
