Welcome back Jill and Cinda!!!! Always nice to have returning piggies. Big Grin Barn doors are open find ya a stall and start making yourself to home.

Thanks Jill. I tried to spiffy things up. I had thought about placing new pillows into each stall, but than I got to thinking it wouldn't be long before somebody decided a pillow fight in the middle of the night would be a cool thing to do. A lot of fun for ya all. Too much work for me. Hilarious!

Since we getting this started for this year, I started a new CHAT THREAD....

We are here now.:

[b] I am posting here and on the Chat thread. I don't know if somebody just practicing or made a mistake and just started over, but I have in the seed databases this " [ " for an entry. I have no idea who it is. Without a name it will just show up blank. So make sure the first thing you do is put in your screen name and Save it. That way you can find it and we can help you if need be and than just click Edit to add or delete things. Feel free to holler if you need help. I'll leave the " [ " unknown database up for a couple of days incase somebody wants to claim it or they will have to start a new one.

P. S. Make sure you use your c-mail addy on the database and not your email addy. If you don't know how to do it,, just leave it blank and we will post it for you or holler out and we'll walk you through it. Big Grin

"I'm only going to oink for just a few seed packets this year."

Then, when I count them, I see that somehow "a few" turned into "a few dozen", like 6-7 dozen.

Good intentions are the first to fall by the wayside!

Hi all! I'm a newbie. That sure is a lot of information. I'll be reading it over a few times, but may still have questions! I am so excited to finally join in. I've been listening to stories about the piggy swap from my mom (dayjillymo) and sister (juliesacre) for some time now, and decided to finally take the plunge this year!

Hurray! Welcome to the swap, PokeyJo!

Welcome PokeyJo! Rolling on the floor laughing Sorry, but your name tickles me. You won't be "pokey" around here once the feed bucket is thrown out and the dinner bell rung. Hilarious!

I know it looks complicated, but it's not. New folks always seem afraid until they have the first couple of oinks under their belts and than they right there in the mud with the rest of the folks snorting and snuffling for seed. Don't worry. Everybody so friendly here they will give ya hoof up if ya need it.

The simple version for anybody is:

I. Sign - Up here
2. Set up your database
3. When the barn doors open and the swap starts, go to oinking thread and start snorting for seed. Don't be afraid or intimidated by first day. Folks go crazy first few hours and threads move fast. Just grab a tail in front of you and hang on. Rolling on the floor laughing
4. You can ask for up to 8 packets of seed a day. Post requests on main thread.
5. If your asking for 8 packets of seed at once and from more than 4 people at once, make two posts.
6. Send cmail to person your asking seed from for confirmation.
7. Answer cmails and give confirmation for anybody asking for seed from you.
8. Update your database for trade coming in and going out. Will be the biggest help when it comes time to pack.
9. Always be polite.

The above is the most important part. And if anybody finds them self getting lost or twisted around. Just holler out and tell folks don't oink from you til you get caught up. Sometimes we need to take a breather and catch up and than dive right back in again.

When the time comes, we'll help folks to make sure they get things packed right and explain Part 2 and Part 3 for those that want to join as we go along.

Folks are welcome to practice their oinking skills on here and bolding and such. Anytime somebody has a question or needs help, all they have to do is squeeeeell. Hilarious! Somebody will lend a hand.
