Gonna be a now ya see me.. now ya don't kind of day. trying to get on in between the rain spurts. As usual seems that when I finally get online than it wants to rain harder. LOL
Wish I could see the pic, for some reason it not showing for me. Bet it was cute whatever it was.
Andi I know what Winston would be saying. First he'd be asking for ear plugs and than he would be giving ya "What were you thinking about look" and than he'd be saying " Ain't no way I sharing!"
Them little piglets can squeal like there is no tomorrow. Somebody always has some for sale at market and you can always tell when somebody trying to hold one or bought one, sounds just like a child hollering at the top of the lungs, only in high pitch and they don't stop.
At market folks will be turning and looking to see if a child hurt or in trouble or a pigglet before coming on.
At least it fairly warm outside right now, so I thankful for that. Gotta wait til this evening news to see how everybody around the country doing. Hopefully ok.
Misti, loved the mini pigs! We got a pot belly pig for Christmas once. He was sweet, but they will do a number rooting your carpet. He was very clean and house broke. Nice to cuddle. Just like the lil black piggy getting belly rubs. Sweet video. Thanks!
Well heck, I was really loving the warm day and then it started raining, the really windy kind that makes it tough to bag up prunings. Hopefully, it will stop and I can get out there again. There's so much to do still and I'm not a cold-weather gardener!

Today is warm, but overcast. I am getting things done before it snows on Wednesday. My potting mix defrosted yesterday, so I have to fill wintersowing containers while the warm weather lasts.
My neighbor. Barefoot Joe, uses a clothes line instead of the dryer. I looked outside and his clothesline broke. His clothes were laying on the ground. I grabbed them and brought them in to rinse and dry. I was angry about the new girl next door over her laundry. It was a laundry and neighbor blues weekend. I am setting limits on my time and effort and soldiering on. I am helping everyone else why things I need to do for myself go undone. My fault.
Lines have finally dried out and I have a bit of power. Yep have gone from freezing now to t-shirt and flip flops today though the wind can still get gusty at times.
Well, I only have a few more trees that need to lose their leaves and than months of raking and burning can begin. Leaves and downed branches so thick I can't see my walkway and witht the warm weather, slithery things will be back out.
I went to rake this one pile off the path and thought what the heck. I felt so bad. I wish I could climb back up the tree and tie or super glue somehow, one poor squirrels nest. Storm yesterday took the whole thing down basically in one piece. Much as they drive me crazy, I hope the squirrel survived the fall or got out before it totally went.
First time I have seen a complete nest up close. Such a shame cuz the one who built it sure did a good job. I don't think if I had to build me a home from leaves only, I could do such a good job. It looks like it almost waterproof the leaves so tightly hooked together.
I leaving it there on the ground. Don't know if the squirrel will try and take it apart and rebuild or not or try and move in with another squirrel.
It did clear up a bit so I was able to finish pruning the raspberries, cut down the yarrow, tansy, and catnip, and pull out the bolted lettuces and shiso. The garage is very stuffed - thankfully, yard waste pickup is Friday. The weather has gotten serious now, though, with high winds and sideways downpours. All that is left now is to cut down the remaining mints and pull off the lovage leaves in the backyard. I've only got to pull out the annuals and prune the mock orange out front. A satisfying day of work! I need an Advil now, though!
Ibuprofen day here, too. I forgot that if there are two people swinging a downed tree out of the way, the smarter person is the one in the center! I was on the end.
