lol Christine and I are on the same wavelength this morning! ![]() |

Star, I'm interested in red and purple type carrots. Also moderately hot peppers, Jalapeno heat or less. If you don't already know where they stand, don't research and don't bother. I'm not willing to create more work for you! As it is, with all I have coming in, I need to win the lotto enough that I can quit my job. Working a full time job eats up a lot of precious time better spent sowing seed, planting out starters, and general gardening/landscaping work! ![]() |

Got the poppy folks... Red... I don't remember seeing purple, but I do remember seeing red ones if I haven't tossed already. No problem on the peppers. Toms, I know the names, but not history. Now peppers, those I do know and can get ya what ya want there. ![]() ![]() Boy... Wouldn't that be something. That would be nice to be able just to puter and play with plants all day and anytime ya wanted. That another dream. ![]() Folks, here is about the Double Poppies. Click on little link that tells ya to click here. Also a list of some other flowers that edible parts. http://www.thompson-morgan.com/flowers/flower-seeds/poppy-se... |

Arlene Got ya! As long as I make sure no squash in Poisons, seed I be good to go. I done checked twice through her seed to make sure I didn't and pulled out the pack I had tossed. Whew!!!!!!!! that was a close one since it her most favorite veggie. Not!!!! ![]() ![]() Chelle Thanks for the explanation. Now that makes a lot of sense to me and good idea. At least I would be able to figure out which is weed and which isn't. Misti Not saying that be the one ya get. Using page to show that some poppy seed is edible. Watched on Tv this morning where they using millet for frying chicken to be healthy. |

Ella -- I'd love to get some peppers (sweet or hot -- I love them all), tomatoes, carrots, onions, and/or Papaver somniferum. |
yea but those are double, I never looked at doubles before. I love the fullness! so pretty! |
Ella, I grow lots of edibles in the community garden, so your extras will find a home. For myself, this is what I always need: Beans Peppers Lettuce Onions/Leeks Zucchini (I have tons of winter squash, so I'm good there) Edible-Podded Peas Carrots Grazie a tutti, Julianna |
Misti The doubles are beautiful. They remind me of the old English Cottage gardens. I love doubles in all plants, but I have seen some single poppies with all the breeding out that will make you gasp. I wish I could grow them. I try and try and have no luck. Maybe one day I'll get a sprout and actually see a bloom. Erica and Sorellina Got ya. Sorellina I appreciate the offer, but after I fill all the oinks, whatever is left has already been promised to be grown and feed a food bank that can give folks fresh veggies. I just wanted to make sure everybody here had a last chance at them first. |
Ella, I'd love any extra: Tomatoes Beans Yellow Squash Zucchini Beets Radishes Carrots Eggplant Poblano peppers Or really just about anything... Oink, oink, oink! Squeal |

Rising and Lebug Got ya wrote down too. bxncbx Yep ya can have some poppies. One farmer, about an hour away, he went and tossed hundreds of poppy seeds out along his field by the fence and it was gorgeous. A massive riot of colors. Good thing it was country back roads cuz I always had to drive slow and look and wonder how they grew so good for him and me who keeps getting them, can't. LOL WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the radishes are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!! FINALlly. ![]() ![]() [b]Lebug A veggie grower will have to answer your question. I just look at pics and if it something I recognize I usually buy. Other than crookneck squash, and butternut, I can't tell ya about any of them. Maybe somebody will chime in. I'm learning and eating as I grow. ![]() |

Ella, I love poppies, but haven't grown any yet. I'll take any, especially doubles and orientals, if you have any. I'll also take you up on the veggies--onions, lettuces, tomatoes, beets, rudabaga, squash, peppers (hot and sweet), carrots, Kale, peas and bush beans......... someone somewhere recently posted a link to the farmers almanac garden planner. I just glanced over it, but now I need to go back and use it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
